i was reading the brochure earlier and could add the halfboard option onto our hotel for only an extra £20

i read that it says you can order and save 10% on set menus - where would i find the set menus ??

Look on DLRP Magic here.

IMO the vouchers aren't as good value as they used to be - I personally think the set menus that they cover are too restrictive and if you use the vouchers at face value there's no saving at all, it's just the fact that you've budgeted for your meals in advance.

When you say you can add it on for £20 what do you mean - per person, per day? I added plus meal vouchers to our booking when a better offer came out than what we'd originally booked under and so they cost less than £30 a person for 3 meals so each meal cost under £10 so in effect a real bargain. If you're buying them cheap like this than yes go for it but there's no way I'd pay full price for them. Have you considered buying shares instead and benefiting from the 15% discount on table service meals?

hiya

we booked to go to new york and for an extra £90 i can upgrade to half board and a lakeside room

my only question is my son is 11 if we upgraded i know he would get a childs meal but could he have an adult meal and we pay the difference ?

Yes you can use the vouchers at their cash face value and then pay the differance.

Normally I wouldn't go for the meal vouchers (we've had them on our last couple of trips and found them really restrictive) but at that price I wouldn't hesitate.

The set menus were ok, there's not a lot of choice on them which is fine if you're not fussy, a pain if you are.

we have just upgraded to a lakeside room and got half board for all of us for £100 extra :cool1::cool1::cool1:

the restaurants we want to go to are mostly buffets anyway so we only went for standard but it means that technically our 3 meals are only costing £4 as the room upgrade was £96

cant complain at that really:rotfl2:
