Hi Guys!

Rain came in today so I ended up doing 5.25 miles in 42 minutes on the treadmill at the gym then filled out the rest of an hour with some strength training.

Best,
Jennifer

Hope everyone is well, or on the mend. Heading up to DS's school this weekend in Troy NY. They were on the national news last night re: swine flu. A bunch of kids came down with it during a "beer-pong" game. (Not an Olympic event), fortunately my son didn't get it (yet). The school sends updates regularly to parents re; cases and precautions.

Have a great weekend all.

Scott & Lynn~ Enjoy your runs in WDW!!!

Hi team! Just popping in wish everyone a great weekend! Hope the weather is nice where you are - it's cold and rainy here!

Scott - Send us some of the sunshine and humidity :) Well, maybe just the sunshine!

Margie - Thanks! The speedwork makes me think I'll eventually get faster! Hope the wet stuff has cleared up in your area.

Jack - Congrats on finding the extra golf ball :) Hope you and DS don't catch the flu!

Connie - Congrats to you and DD!! Do you have any pics of the cake?

Take care!

Jack you keep score in golf the way I do.

The weather is back to rainy here again, guess I really can't complain though, we have had a lot of rain but not all at once the way Atlanta did this year, at least it was spread out.

Margie and Connie are you princesses saving a place in your agenda for January for hugging pandas? It will be the high light of my trip. You guys are doing the Goofy right? I still haven't got Erica training much.

Scott and Lynn, I'll get us some DVC points one of these days. I was hopeing for next year but probably not now.

Vicky, good morning little warrior, are you doing the Goofy in January also?

I had a nice pool day today since it was raining. Hard pool running for an hour.

Dave:hippie:

A quick pop in before work ends for the weekend.:woohoo:

Lynn/ Scott, Enjoy Disney & TOT. I know I just got back & will be there in Jan. but I'm soooo jealous. Have a great trip.

Margie, Getting out there has been tough this week. Going from nice running weather in Florida to winter hat/ gloves last night was brutal. I was far from inspired.

Dull & rainy today. Heading for a spin class tonight. Probably spin Sat. morning with a long run on Sun.

Have a great weekend everyone......Get out & get those miles in;).........Sue

Rain-High Winds-Rain Getting ready to go for my 5-miler. It is still better than doing the DM.

Connie- Glad things are a little better and you are getting all that house cleaning caught up. :goodvibes

Jack- Way To Go! Oh, My Gosh – thanks for the pictures, it’s beautiful, and it looks like a fun place for a Golf Ball Scavenger Hunt! :goodvibes

:hippie: You Got It- What is Erica’s longest walk right now? The two Half Marathons this month have been my longest walks. I have not been able to get back to my gym training, but it’s on the calendar for next week. :yay:

Vicky- you are very consistent! ::yes::

Sue- Brutal but you do it ::yes::when some of us :confused3

Scott & Lynn –
I have age as an very good 'Reason' what is your excuse! But I can relate to turning into a pumpkin past 10:PM - the Brain Cells just leave the body. Have Fun!

Good morning, Team!

Got my first LSD in this morning. Mornings like this are kinda hard. I started out at 38 degrees and finished mid 50's! The heat came up fast! It's supposed to be in the mid to upper 70's for a high. I was peeling clothes about an hour into the LSD!

Jack! I always thought that the high score won! But, counting by recovered balls works for me too!!!

Dave! We will be saving some time for Panda hugs. As a matter of fact, Jona and I will have 12 nights in Disney! I am not going Goofy! It was determined that I WAS Goofy when I registered!!! :rotfl:

Vicki! I don't have any pics of the cake, yet! My daughter has them all. But when I can get one, I will post it!

Margie! Yup, dishwasher fixed. Check. House getting cleaned up. Check. Workouts getting done. Check. Looks like I am on track! Hope Hage is leveling out by now.

Lynn and Scott! I did the inaugeral ToT race and I have to agree. Doing a race after lights out is the hardest part!

Sue! I admire your persistence. I am using you as my role model! Make that Ideal!

Good Afternoon Team!

We hit MK early, and got on several rides before it got busy, then headed over to check out Kindani Village -! it looks great! We are taking is easy today, because of race tonight. We are taking lunch break at our condo, then will hit the pool for a bit. We have a get together for dinner later this afternoon, then we will just have to stay awake until race time. I figure we will be fine after the race starts, it is just the down time between dinner and the race.

Sounds like everyone is in good shape - keep up the good work!

Have a great day all!

Hi everyone! Got out for a 5.3 mile run this morning - it was overcast but at least the weather was mild. I started off my run fuming a little bit about the NY Times article about plodders. Got to the first mile and realized that I had run it in 9:40 mins ... Continued on and saw another runner ahead of me and decided to try and catch up to him. I passed him and then he passed me and then I paced him for a good chunk of the run. Finished with a pace of 9:45 m/m - not bad :)

Lynn - Good luck to you and Scott tonight!!

Connie - Your DD looks so beautiful!! I tend to overdress as well. I'm always reading that you should dress as though it's 10C warmer than it is but I really don't like starting out cold!

Margie - I've stayed off the TM for about a year now. I may use the one at the gym for speedwork once the high school track freezes up. I wish there were some indoor tracks that were closer to my house.

Dave - I'm doing the half again this year. I didn't feel like I was ready for the marathon yet because I'm just starting to get comfortable with the 1/2 distance. 2011 I'll do the Mickey! So another couple of years until I'm Goofy! Save me a Panda hug or two :cutie:

Sue - The week we came back from Disney was in the 2-5C range but I know what you mean about the temperature shock! How was was your spin class!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far!

vicky that is a great pace.

just chilling in the room

Update from race...
15k 1hr 13 min 44 out of 250 overall; 2nd age group (age group first was overall female 2nd by less than 30 seconds so there was no question she deserved it)

Did it as a tempo-type run trying to simulate marathon pace (I wanted to take it easy as I have a half-marathon next Saturday) and lost 30 seconds to tying shoe (when your in the top quarter especially those seconds count)

Best,
Jennifer

:cheer2::cheer2: Congratulations, Jennifer :cheer2::cheer2:

Way To Go - We are all happy you reached the goals you have been working toward.

Connie- Great picture!

Scott & Lynn- Know you are having a Great Time-:thumbsup2

Hi team,

Looks like there will be no training for me for the next few days. I am going into the hospital on Monday to have some tests run. Going to try to get to the bottom of all the intestinal problems I've been having for the last 6 weeks. Doctor says I should only be there for 48 hours. Prayers and PD will be appreciated!

Thanks!

Mary- Please know that we are with you in thoughts and prayers and the PD is flying all around you!

Please keep my Granddaughter(11) in your thoughts and prayers too. She has a polyp on her gallbladder. Currently, they don't have a clue what to do about it. It is extremely rare with only one other case being reported, ever.

20 miles in 3hours...I'm so excited

Now I just have to decide whether to shoot for a 3:30 or 3:40 marathon in December

Jennifer
