Hakuna Matata Having a Howling Good October!!!

Hey Vicky, no I haven't registered for it, we are going on a Alaskan cruise in May.

We are definaltey doing Scotia in Sept again, Kevin wants to actually train this time so he can improve his time. Some of his photos look like he was in major pain from that cramp. I think his bib was 2149 check them out.

Packing the van??? Where we going???? I wanna come!!!!!! (insert spoiled child stomping here feet)

Kim

Good Morning Team!

Jennifer - sorry the weather is not cooperating for your 20 miler, good luck for the weekend.

Kim - have fun on your Alaskan cruise, we are doing one May 2011, so would like to hear what you have to recommend for a May trip to Alaska.

Dave - how are the workouts going with Erica?

I managed a short walk yesterday with the dogs - 1.26 miles - then some leg exercises, today I plan 3 miles and a trip to the gym. Had an appt with my Orthopod yesterday, he was surprised I was progressing as fast as I was with the extent of damage to my knee - so I guess I am just being too impatient expecting it to be "fixed" by now.

Have a great day all!

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Lynn- that is Great News on the progress of your knee! :goodvibes

Vicky- I can be packed in 5-minutes ::yes::

Connie- enjoy all the family moments! :bride:

Scott- Hope you are able to get things completed for weekend R & R.

Jack - so what are you doing? :rolleyes1

Snow & Slush on my way to sub for DD in the office-another long day.

My little Hagen has his tonsil & adenoids out yesterday. Surgery went well, they had to admit him to the hospital after recovery, but he did not have to sleep over. Yucky Day.

Detroit Half Marathon this Sunday. Taper has been hectic, but did not get in any of my training walks. :upsidedow

Later...

Margie~ sorry to hear about Hagen, my youngest had his adenoids out a couple of years ago. Here the doctor wants a parent to go in the OR with the child and be there while the put him asleep. I got chosen as the one to go. OMG worse thing I've ever done.
It does help with the ear infections though.
Good Luck Sunday, have a great run!

Everyone~ I need some assistance with my running tunes.
Namely suggestions does anyone has suggestions? 60's 70' 80' 90' what
have you. Thanks,

Hey how about the kid with the balloon in Colorado! Love to be a fly on the wall in that house tonite! Glad it turned out well.

Jack will think about that fr ya.

Getting ready to head to the airport to head home should be home at about 5:00 tonight,

Hope to get the stuff done I kept getting side tracked from, I do have soem airport wait time.

Later kids.

Good Morning Team!

Jack - I really like Off Kilter for my music.

Connie - have fun and safe travels!

Margie - hope Hagen is feeling better today.

I got in 3 miles yesterday, but did not make it to the gym. I accepted another temporary census job yesterday, so starting Nov 1, I will be working 8-4:30 Monday thru Friday for about 8 weeks. That might put a kink in my 1/2 marathon training for Jan! I will have to get up with Scott and get my walks in early in darkness!

Have a great day team!

Yep got the reports and other things done so Monday will be less busy.

At the airport waiting, got about 30 mins before I head out.

Happy Friday everyone! I'm more than ready for the weekend! :)

Connie - Have a safe trip! Hope the wedding is a lot of fun :)

Margie - Good luck with your 1/2 on Sunday! I hope the weather cooperates. pixiedust: for little Hagen! I hope he's doing well today.

Lynn - Congrats on the temp job! Even though it's a bit of a squeeze some days, I've come to prefer running in the morning.

Jack - I recently put some Annie Lennox, Gloria Estefan, Lady Gaga, Pink and Delerium tunes on my iPod. I'll have to do some thinking for songs from the 60-70s.

Kim - I forgot you told me about the cruise! You'll have to let me know how that goes :) Kevin's pictures look at lot better than mine. I have one that looks like I'm about to pass out at the finish line. I'm thinking about Scotia again next year too but am not sure how that will fit in with the Disney marathon training schedule. But I'm thinking I should have enough time in between the two?

Have a great weekend everyone! :wave2:

Hi everyone,

10 miles in 90 minutes today. I was too busy enjoying the nice weather to hurry.

Best,
Jennifer

Up and at um, got an early B-day present last night, Lynn was sooo good to me and got me a Garmin 310XT, all set up for teh TOT.

Gotta do some serious packing today...

AFternoon run when the sun comes up

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Have Fun to all those going to the ToT at WDW.

Scott- let us know how the Garmin 310XT early Birthday present works out!

Vicky, Lynn, Jack - My Little Hagen: His Mom had to be in recovery before he woke up-They had to tape everything down including the mittens they put on him. He did not wake up good and tried hard to pull everything out. He is is doing some better today - Chocolate Shakes are his now favorite thing, but he even turns them down sometimes. It hurts my heart when he hurts.

Jack & Vicky - thanks I much appreciated the well wishes on the race today!

I did the Detroit Half Marathon this morning. It was cold and windy. The sun coming up over the water while way up on the bridge was beautiful, but cold. The drive home was just as pretty the trees are very colorful this year. I got home about 5:pm; stiff from being in the car so long, so I soaked in scented Epsom Salts. I have a few unhappy muscles.

Happy that I beat my last year’s underwater mile (tunnel back into USA from Canada) by just a little bit with a 14:12 – that was my only goal. ::yes::

20 miles in 3hours and 4 minutes. Well within the acceptable range for both of my goal paces. I can now barely walk, but I finally did it. Thank goodness my classroom is on the first floor.

Best,
Jennifer

Good Evening Team!

Jennifer - glad to see you got the 20miler in!

Margie - good job on the half marathon!

Weekend was nice, we got out to walk the dogs, and enjoy the warm weather - today was a bit windy though - 35-40mph winds!

Have a great evening!

Happy Birthday Scott!!!!

Margie: Congrats on your 1/2...WTG!!!

Vicky: I have some Lady Gaga and Pink on my ipod.

Training is moving along but the weight is not moving. 2.5 more months so lose as much as possible.

I see my month long B-Day celebrations is working LOL....

The 310 is working well. I keep forgetting to turn it off a feature that the 405 did not have.

It was just too dark this morn to find the out side running stuff so I hit the TM.

Paperwork at the office getting it done Presentation tonight so it will be a long one.

Have a great oen kids, hope weather is nice for ya all.

Out of the office today (GOLFING!!!!!)
yes the last round of the season I fear. 55 degrees by noon. Employee day at Shelter Harbor GC (DW is the employee but doesn't play :thumbsup2)

Glad the weekend weather broke~ SNOW in Foxboro, the NE Patriots game was well, not much fun, glad to see they didn't run up the score or complain about the touchback call. Feel bad for the Titans.

Enjoy the Monday!

Margie~ pixiedust: for Hagen and a big  for the 1/2 marathon.
