Hakuna Matata-Happy April

I had another awesome workout this morning. I'm amazed at how much I've improved over the last 6 weeks. There must be something to this doing everything right.

Weight has stayed at 168 for the last couple of days, I've fine with it there but would like to see a little more off the love handles.

My last half mile today was at 10 min per mile pace. That is the best so far since the injury lay off. and the first I've walked that fast since last year.

Margie, get better dear, it's spring not the best time for a cold.

Connie I will send you my miles and hours today.

Kathy, YAY, for feeling so strong. Yes 5 miles is an easy day.:yay:

Denise, how is your neck today?

Scott, you da man!!:cool1:

Everyone have a great weekend.

Good Morning Team!

I'm taking 2 days off to rest my knees, yesterday we walked the dogs around the block before going off to Denver. We did hike around the Denver Zoo, and then later around town a bit. Today, Scott took off for a good run, the first for him in about 2 weeks. I decided to stay in and catch up on the boards, I do not like to exercise before breakfast! I imagine we will get dogs for another loop around the block this evening after construction work.

Have a good day!

Good morning Lynn, looks like you and I are he only ones awake this early on a Sunday morning.

This is a rest day for me. My exercising this week has been super and I'm very pleased. My down fall has always been not taking enouth rest time, till an injury forces me to. Part of my new "doing everything right", plan is the proper rest breaks.

The yard is needing mowing badly since we have had rain nearly every day last week but right now it's to wet, if it dries up some before I go to work I'll mow a section.

Everyone have an awesome Sunday.

I was up with the crows at 6:49 am but was not online. Got up and was ready to do SOMETHING and didn't want to wake Mark. He did yardwork yesterday and was pooped so I got dressed and was going to do my core stuff that I had taped, he woke up saw me dressed and decided we should go walking so off we went. Wore my WISH shirt and hat and the drunks were still in bed so no comments from the peanut gallery. Only did 3 miles but may still do my core stuff later.

Did I tell you I took no neck pills yesterday and so far none today. Ya hoo! I"m quite pleased with myself and make sure I do those exercises every day.

Have a good one all, I plan on cleaning my sewing room - got the girls coming over for bee on Weds and they need to be able to sit and sew rather than, wade through everything!

Denise, good news about no pills, that is good. I am a minimalist when it comes to meds.

Oh contrare misure mona mi Panda, I was up at 0445, catching up with life, bills, orders etc.

Got in a good run, felt good and glad my base fitness level did not suffer, looking forward to the minnie.

We did get our plane, car, and hotel res all set to add a few days to the Minnie trip. Only bump is we will need to move from OKW to SSR, currently waitlisted for OKW, we will see

Have a great day Kiddies.

Good morning to you to Denise. That is wonderfull news about not having to take the meds.

You are going to be in such great shape by next January.

There is an interesting staement by Mel over on the Club thread about her visions for the future of the WISH. I agree that WISH is going to become something more than any of us ever imagined and we are the cutting edge of fitness history.

The sun is out so I'm going to check the yard to see if I can mow yet. I don't have time for the whole yard before work but maybe I can do a section.

Of yes andf the weight is still hovering between 167 and 168. Even those Erica and I had a Ben and Jerrys low fat frozen yugart last night.

Some men like that in a woman Margie. I don't happen to be one of them though, women need to be smart to keep us guys out of trouble. I would be lost as an easter egg if Erica didn't keep me in line.

Not much for me to report since it's a rest day, but I hope everyone has a super day. Looks like the whole country will have a beautiful week.

Denise how is the neck situation today?

Connie that little hip doing better?

Cindy how are you doing princess.

How are our Canadian princesses doing today, sassy and cute as ever?

Scott, you enjoying your down time?

Lynn, are you keeping your wildman in line?

Hi Kathy:flower3:

Everyone I missed you guys have an awesome day.

Why does the weekend always fly by. Already Monday again. Only plus it puts us one day closer to the Minnie.

Beautiful weather in Southern Ontario this weekend. Didn't get the rain on Sunday as originally forecasted.

Stay well & good training.....Sue

Yo, Team! :lmao:

My back is improving and I will be ready for my race this weekend. If any of you have back problems, I suggest that you get an inversion table. It helps tremendously!!

I have the Prairie dresses, aprons and bonnets , made for me a DG. We will be the wonder of wonders at our One Room School House project! I have started preparing our lunch. We will biscuits with ham, dried apricots and apples (store bought, I ran out of the ones we made), and some homemade elk jerky. They are all packed in jars and ready for lunch. I did that this morning because I had a dream last night that I ran out of the house without our lunch and stopped in at McDonald's for breakfast and people accused me of being a child abuser from that Texas compound because of the way I was dressed. :scared1: At least I don't have to worry about the lunch! :rotfl:

Wilbur Good luck with the Minnie. We want to see pics. And don't forget, races count double miles!!

Resting Panda Make a beautiful day and enjoy the rest. I do! :thumbsup2

Margie Don't you just hate it when you wake up and the little gray cells continue to snooze! I have problem for about an hour each day!

Kristen :wave2:

Lynn and Scott How was the zoo?? How are the knees??

Cobbler, M Kasch, Bunnyfoo, and Cindy Where are you?? We miss you! :guilty:

Kathy See ya soon.

MIke and Kim Hope you aren't buried in that blizzard!! :sad2:

Everyone have a great day!! :grouphug:

Hey there team.... Sorry I have been MIA again. Just so much going on I have spread myself too thin, also when I wasn't working out regularly I didn't feel worthy of hanging with you all but since we have been for a few weeks now I can show my face again.

I will try to catch up with you all.

Hope everyone is doing great!!!!

Kim

Good Morning Team!

The zoo was crowded, but not bad, we wandered around for a bit, I think it was the first time we have been there in warm weather! Saw areas that have been closed all winter.

The knees are fine now, they usually do not bother me unless I am putting stress on them - like walking/running/weight lifting/etc. I will see how they do today, I will take dogs for a short walk, then do my pilates and weights.

Dave - we actually got out the lawn mover and put a thatcher blade on it and thatched the lawn yesterday. I was thinking of you with your push mower, our small one (we also have a riding mower), is a power mower, but it does not have a "drive", so we still have to push it - does that count as a "push mower".

The grass is turning green, there are some buds on the trees. In Denver, the trees are mostly budded out already, and they have lots of flowers blooming! It was really nice to see signs of Spring. The weekend was beautiful weather, although windy. Wind has not yet started to blow hard today, but it is a bit colder, not bad though (not snowing!). High today will be in the 50's, it was in the 70's over the weekend.

We are looking forward to the Minnie, I will start packing this week. As Scott said, we extended our vacation by a couple of days, the change of the plane tickets were not as bad as I expected them to be. Hopefully, our waitlist for OKW will come thru, so we do not have to move to SSR in the middle of the trip. We extended the rental car, it was cheaper than originally, because we got a weekly rate!

OK, time to get to exercising - have a great day!

Dear Teammates,

I wanted to pop in quickly to apologize to anyone that wishes to accept my negligence towards the team.

I am currently sinking quickly in my work-life unbalanced raft boat, so in order to free my spot to someone that will better fit this very tight-knit team I would want to offer my position to said athlete. I do encourage each of you to please accept the new member with open arms, and really make them feel welcome. At the same time, feel free to call me a “whiney baby” if you will; that is ok, I have a tough sleeve, I just feel that it is not fair to someone that really can dedicate 100% of his or her time to the team, as the team will benefit from that person, more than a less dedicated person such as myself right now.

Again, I do apologize for any inconvenience I have caused anyone. I do wish you all the very best of luck in your personal endeavors.

Respectfully,
Donna Carter

Just let us know when you want to come back we will leave the light on for you dear friend. I know you have a ton of stuff going on all the time, mommy, student and bread winner as well as finding some Donna time is tough. Your spot will always be here for ya.

Good Morning Team!

Donna - what Dave said!!! Sorry to see you go, but do understand work interfering with life!

Beautiful weather here, I'm afraid that it can't last for too long! I do need to get out for our walk before the wind starts up today. Currently it is only about 10mph, but forcast for 15-20 with gusts to 35. Usually it is calm when I am getting dressed to walk, but as soon as I walk out the door, it starts to pick up!

Yesterday I did a 5 mile walk, then a pilates tape, then a session on the bowflex.

Scott was busy at work yesterday, and did not get home until late again. One of these days he will get home at a decent time.

Have a great day team!

Good morning gang!!!

Connie I think I have been wripping myself off with longing milage and hours. I have been entering miles for my walking and hours for my weights and tapes. But aren't I suppose to enter hours also for my mileage????

Had a great workout this morning, TM, weights and bike...then I had to get off the bike an don the phone for my ADR's for ToT. Didn't want to miss the 7AM opening.

Hope you are all having a great day

Kim

Hi everybody!

Sorry I have been MIA, but I am having a hard time with not being able to contribute to our team. My feet are slowly healing, and I am hoping that I will be able to start training again soon.

I want to thank everybody who has contributed miles for me!!

Erica:)

See Erica really is still around.

I don't think I posted on here today. I got so caught up in the drama over on the weekly that I almost forgot that I hadn't posted here yet.

My workout was pretty normal for me now. Walked 3.5 miles with the last half mile at a 10:54 pace. The nof course the full stretching and calistetic routine.

The high point was that I could have easily kept going at the 10:54 pace. I just stopped when I did because I'm still building back up from my injury layoff. I don't wanna hurt anything and be sidelined again.

Have a super evening y'all.

Dave:

One of my quilting buddies is heading to your area well at least I think it's near you. Paducah.... one of the best quilt shows in the world. If you ever have a chance to attend one of these shows and see what people do with fabric I highly recommend it.

She is on a fact finding mission and if it turns out to be something we could manage, a group of us may go next year instead of PA.

I'm sure there would be a lot of walking involved but mostly start, stop, stare kind of walking.

So how far are you and Erica from Paducah?
