Hakuna Matata-Happy April

Denise: Hope the planning board went well. Are you a buyer or a seller at the quilt shows?

Neither, I display my quilts in the show. I have only 1 I made, and an antique one that I had received as a B-day gift from my DH. Also, a purse and an apron that was a Guild Challenge.

As far as last night at the planning board --- WE WON!!!

We had a couple of neighbors that came out to support us and 2 that wrote letters in support. We were very thankful for their taking the time to help us out. I can breathe again!!

We went out to celebrate with dinner and drinks last night - what a relief.

Well I do have to pack up my stuff to bring to the show so I'll sign off.

Morning dear friends.

Lynn, the same happened to us on the iPod mini that was Erica's. We thought it was toast so she got a new Nano. I went on line to see if I could send it in and get it fixed as a spare and I saw troubleshooting directions. I learned how to reset it and it has worked fine since. So it's my spare and Erica has since bought herself the new generation Nano.

Denise, so happy for you guys. That might help th headaches also. Stress sucks.

Cindy, Erica is fine, thanks for asking. She has 4 12s in a row right now that she is working. Her bunion hurts all the time but next week she gets fixed. (That didn't sound good did it)

Scott, they don't realize we spend everything we make on our vacations.

Connie:hug: for all you do for us.

Bunny dear, it will be October before we can vacation again and see our WISH friends. We might sneak off to the Smokies for some hill training but that's all.

Kim, yes the ToT is to far away. We need to get together more next year, maybe a cruise or something. We have enouth Canadian friends now that maybe we can all meet for a run up there.

Margie, where are princess, are you off to the weekend with Carrie and Sweet DianeL.

Kathy are you getting excited about the OKC Half?

Ok time for me to shut up and head off to the gym.

Have a great day y'all.

I am leaving shortly to go out of town for our last Cheerleading competition for the season! In a way my daughter and I are glad for the break, though…will start up new season in July. Wish us luck :cheer2:!!

Here are my very little mileages for the week:

Thursday April 3 – 3.0 miles
Friday, April 4 – 3.0 miles (71 degrees at 5:00 a.m.)
Total Miles: 17 miles for Donna
Total Miles for Erica = 2

Cindy: Best of luck on your x-ray results today!

Lynn: Normally, when you "hit" something it will work! I give my hubby a little love swap and that gets him going every time :rolleyes1!

Denise: Congratulations on your victory with the planning board !

Dave: Hope you had a fantastic workout at the gym this morning. Please give Erica a hug for me !

ALL Hakuna team members, enjoy your week, and I’ll try to post prior to next Friday!

Hugs,
Donna

Good Friday morning and a belated Happy April!

Sorry to hear so many are suffering from aches and pains right now. Hugs to you all. :grouphug:

Denise -- congrats on your victory!

I started an exercise class last night -- a kind of boot camp. Except it was more like "butt kicking" camp cause that's what happened to me. Wow am I sore. But I have just over a month until DH returns so there's my motivation! :yay: <----Me doing jumping jacks.

I'm hitting the treadmill today and will get my weekly totals posted after that. I'm so glad it's Friday!!! :woohoo: Talk more soon!

Kristen

Good morning team! I see several of you are up early this morning.

Wind is supposed to pick up later, (it is blowing about 15mph now, but will increase to 40mph before noon) so I am just waiting for the sun to come up to start todays walk. I did a good weight work out yesterday and just a short walk.

Have a good day!

 Denise!

Connie I PM'd you with mine & Erica's miles & time

Leaving in a few hours for the weekend. :cool1:
Martian Half Marathon on Sunday in Dearborn MI
with Scott & Carrie, Lynne, Erin, & DianeL ... Hope to meet Cathy & Susan toooooo
Scott, Carrie, & I are volunteers working at the Expo on Saturday.

I am so excited first half marathon since I broke my ankle.

My workout today was wonderful. The only way to describe it is that I felt well oiled. My motions felt fluid and flowing. I guess maybe the stretching is finally kicking in.

4 miles on the tready, since it's still raining. Then a good calistetics and dynamic weight routine, followed by a good stretching routine. Lots of effort on the calves and achillies tendons.

Margie tell DianeL and Carrie we miss them.

Have a great time, Margie, at your half marathon and tell Carrie I said HI :grouphug:

Ya know, Panda :hippie: , I really think I am gonna get with my stretching more too! I know it would help if I did more! I had a massage today and she said I should try to stretch my shoulders as they are tooooo tight ! Thanks for the reminder! I'll try to PM my miles and hours by tomorrow =)

Have a great weekend all :goodvibes

Connie, I will PM you with our miles, today's walk was for Erica, because of the wind, I did not go as far as I had hoped, but I opted for the loop that I did not have to walk directly into the wind, so it was a little shorter than usual.

Have a good weekend team!

Good luck to those doing the 1/2 marathon!

I started keep a journal again today. I'm calling it the road to Huston since I'm ultimately training for the 2011 Senior Olympics. If I can stay healthy, and the stretching will help, then I should be able to really advance as a racewalker. The crappy little injuries I was having keep me playing catch up all year.

I'm pretty frustrated right now with the Disney Sports people. I recieved an email from them that they were changing the pace requirement to 18 min per mile. But the Web site still says 16 min. I' confused.

Hi Donna, Erica is working but I told her about your hug, she sends 2 back.

Everyone have a super evening.

Walking Panda:hippie:

Dave, I would think Disney might take a little time in Changing their Web Site info. SUbmit change to IT guys IT Guys have coffee, raceers wnat it now, IT guys have more coffe, it;s the weekend, IT guys say Monday, etc etc

Up early gettting stuff together, gotta work a few hours today, then hope to get a run in this afternoon.

Have fun at your 1/2 kids.

KEWL you beat Cuty Hall, I like it when the little guys wins.

Dave your log Title Is Great. You will prevail, WOW now I feel old LOL 2011 I wil turn 60. But I refuse to grow up.

Lynn just woke up and I better get breakfast going.

Which races are they changing the minutes for, Panda? I am all in favor of opening the race to more disney-lovin' walkers :lovestruc

I remembered to do a walk in downtown Atlanta for Erica this week. Will PM Connie now with my info for this past week!

Congrats, Denise, on your meeting coup! :woohoo:

Glad your forerunner is still working, Lynn! I want one sooo bad

Good morning guys and pretty princesses.:flower3:

Scott, we are the same age my brother. Remember age is only a limitation that you put on yourself. Heck I'm working on body shaping and getting it ready for some on the edge training and racing this year.

Lisa, I told Erica about your Downtown Atlanta mile for her. She will come on after she wakes and thank everyone personally. She is working 4 12s then will be off till after recovery.

The race I'm fighting with them over is the pace limitation on the ToT.

Margie and DianeL have a super good race this weekend.

My workout was an Erica mile to warm up then my stretching and cals. Easy day today.

Everyone walk/run strong.

Stretching Panda:hippie:

Good Morning Team!

Since Scott is working, I get a chance to get on the computer on a weekend! I was going to take the day off (we are usually busy with construction projects on the weekend and have no time for running), but if Scott goes for a run later, I may take the dogs out for a walk.

I think it is great they changed the pace time for TOT! Now I hope my friends from NJ sign up for the race!

Looks like a nice day out there today, not windy like it was forcast to be.

Have a good weekend!

Hi, everyone! I have GOT to figure out a way to get on here more often. It takes me forever to catch up and then I feel silly saying anything because I'm so far behind! :sad2: But - Congratulations to Lynn, Scott, Lisa and Sue! Good luck to Margie and DianeL!

Denise - Great job on winning your fight against City Hall. Those can be tricky!

I have been working hard this week on doing the things I know I need to do for me. I have eaten well all week. I did miss a swimming workout on Friday because I had to go to Denver for work that day and had some stuff on my desk that I needed to take care of before I left, so I skipped swimming and went to work instead. Today was my 10-miler before the OKC half. I took it slow, but I feel pretty good. A little tired, but, heck, I was tired before I started walking, since I left the house at 6:45 yesterday morning and didn't get home until 8:45 last night! I'm quite sure the OKC Half will not be my fastest time, but I can live with that. Maybe now that this 10 miles is behind me, I can start looking forward to the race with anticipation rather than fear! :lmao: Connie and I will have a great time, no matter what. And I won't be at work for 3 days, which is always a plus! LOL!

Dave and Erica - maybe I don't want to retire in Tennessee if all it does is rain all the time! My goodness! I'm beginning to wonder if I wouldn't feel like I was back in Bremerton, WA again, where we spent the first year of our marriage, while DH's ship was in drydock there......And as much as I didn't like it, DH REALLY didn't like it. And I don't like living with a cranky man! ;)

I am going to switch my walking to after work this week - outside - YIPPEE :cheer2: , so maybe I'll have a chance to get on here before I leave for work. Then maybe I won't feel so out of the loop!

I have forwarded my time and miles (and Erica's too :lovestruc ) to Connie for the week! Next week should be awesome, with the 10 miles from today!

Great job, everyone! Keep up the good work! :grouphug:

Kathy you don't have to worry about catching up just pop in when you get a chance and say hi.

It's rained here way more this year than usual. We do have some dry weather forcasted so I can't wait.

Have a super sunday team.

Walking Panda:hippie:

Morning Kids, Busy day and week ahead for me. Breakfast Burritos are in the making, hope to get the walls textured in the basement bedroom, so Lynn can paint, then hope to get a run in if the weather cooperates then into my office .

I am ready for this or any vacation.

Way to go Team, you guys are moving forward for sure. Enjoy the day.

Good morning team!!!!
