Hakuna Matata - Bustin' out in June!

Hi everyone! Made it into DC last night! Heading off to check out the zoo and Georgetown in the afternoon. The wedding was ... Interesting. It was a lot more religious than I thought it would be. I'm just here for the road trip and the shopping. Hahaha!!

Good Afternoon Team!

Back at work today after taking yesterday off to play in a golf tourny. Just a fun day all around.

We are having cooler temps. No complaints from me because it is so much better than high humidity.

Connie, Ouch! Here's to fast healing for yourself and DH.

Mike, You are a racing machine. Nice job!

Vicky, I love that zoo. Are you going to The Museum of Natural History. Love that one also.

Work to be done. Have a great day everyone............Sue

Gerry - The wedding was in Boston - well in Belmont which is just outside of the city. That was on Sunday and then we drove down to Washington, DC to spend time with one of DF's friends. I loved seeing the Giant Pandas! Most of the animals were "hiding" because it was hot out.

Sue - Tomorrow will probably be an outlet shopping day because the forecast calls for rain. I wanted to walk around the city a little more but not if it's going to be humid and rainy out.

Mike - Congrats on the new PRs! Have a great time at Disney!

Kim - WTG on continuing with PX90! Have you registered for Disney yet? I'm still holding onto my money and will probably wait until it is closer to 100%.

Margie - We'll probably head back home on Thursday or Friday. It feels like we've been gone a lot longer than 4 days.

Connie - Hope you're okay! pixiedust: for DH!

Jennifer - Welcome back! Was it hot at WDW? I haven't been in June before. Keep us posted on your training progress!

Regina - The lifting will definitely help with the running. It makes you stronger all over! The deadlifting I do has helped with my hips.

Pandas? I wanna see the pandas. I fitted a woman with glasses today that works at a Place called Kentucky Down Under that has Roos and she is the Roo handler.

Vicky did you take pics of the pandas?

Dave:hippie:

Vicky, It was pretty hot during the day but not bad before 10 or after 6.

Ran outside in the heat and humidity today. 4.5 miles in 39 minutes.

Jennifer

AFM: Hagen is still not up to speed, not a normal BM yet
or back on a regular diet. Not sure if they will need to
do another x-ray to see if the blockage is gone or not. :sad1:

Met WISHer, Nikki from Team Rebel Alliance last night at the
Spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Plan to do a 5-mile walk with her
early Saturday morning at Celery Flats. :goodvibes

I went to the gym this morning- did a 12-minute warm up and upper body weights. Half of the Treadmills and all of the ellipticals are down!
I talked to a new Trainer- I wanted him to show me a couple of the machines. I wanted him to show me correct form for pull ups. He also suggested I should try eating more often during the day - NO bread, potatoes, rice, or pasta after 5:pm.

HI Team!

Off we go in about six hours. Just me and the Mrs., Robert is visiting with his Grandparents for the week. I miss him already.

Connie~ I hope your husband is okay. I broke several ribs a few years ago and it REALLY hurts. The worst part is when the bones grind as you move.

Denise ~ Happy Birthday!!

Vicky~ Safe travels home!

Jennifer~ Good luck in your race Speedy!

Gerry~ See you on Saturday!

Dave~ How's the anti fluff campaign coming along?

Margie~ My thoughts are with you and Hagen!

I'll post a little on FB as the week goes by! Train on everyone, Mike :cool2:

Probably not racing this Saturday. Didn't pre-register anyway and now I have something else to start working on.

I won the local preliminary and will be going to the state preliminary for the Miss USA pageant.

Got in 3.5 miles in 30 minutes.

Connie, Congrats to you and your DH!

Denise, Happy birthday!

Mike, Glad you made it to your destination safely!

Jennifer

Good morning guys.

Mike the defluff is going slow, I had 2 beers and pizza last night. Comfort food was required. Long day of corp visit at work and 2 hour chat with lawyer. Ex and I are a ways apart on final settlement.

Today will be track work, technique drills followed by speed training. The the second day of corp training. Oh Goody.

Margie are you out there? How is Sarah and your little prince doing?

Good Morning Team!

A little slower at work so I'm able to pop in for a quick post.

Margie, Love the new bike. It's been 10+ years since I've been on one. How did you like yoga? I've missed the last 2 classes & need to get back at it on Mon.

Mike, Have a great trip.

Denise, Happy Birthday!

Connie, Congrats! to you & your DH.

DH is doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer this weekend. 100 mile ride each day Toronto to Niagara Falls.

AFM nothing exciting happening. Back to back spin on the weekend with a few running miles thrown in.

Looks like the humidity is returning. Drink lots, train well, have a great weekend...........Sue

Hello!

Doing a quickie buzz by, had some chaos at work. My coworker is now out for a week. Yuck, six day work week for me.

Wedding update: I'm focusing on shoes. I really really really want to wear heels at my wedding but my track record with heels is a bad one. I spent most of Denise's daughter's wedding barefoot. So, Nick bought me some strappy heels and I had a friend recommend the Dr Scholls inserts. I actually stood around in my strappy heels and it wasn't too bad.

Good Morning, Team! :wave2:

More Scattered Thunder Storms – foggy High 83°; Humidity High 87%
It is hard to breathe

Connie- :flower3:

Hope-Strappy Heels :bride:

Sue- My niece just got a Specialized Dolce
and she is thrilled with it.
What is your longest ride?
I did the beginners Yoga-it was focused on breathing
in comparison right now I prefer Pilate's.

AFM:5-miles the air is so oppressive heavy!
Stopped at the gym did a few arm weights, but just
too tired to do a workout.

Hi Team!

Hope- I’m sorry to hear you were runner up again! Hang in there! You’re right- something will come up.

Mike, Liz, and Gerry- Good luck at Everest!! Come back with lots of great stories and pics for us! :cheer2:

Connie- I’m glad you and Jon are both ok! How is Jon doing?

Vicky- I’m glad you’re enjoying your trip! :woohoo: Yes, lifting is definitely bringing to my attention how weak my muscles are. The first time I went, DH had me focus on my legs and a little bit of core. I was so sore it hurt to walk for the next 2 days. At least it was a good kind of sore….:confused3

Margie- How often does Hagen have to go to the Dr.? Do they think Hagen will continue to improve? How was your 5 mile walk?

Jennifer- Congrats on winning the preliminary competition and good luck at the state preliminary!!

Crazy things seem to happen at stores from time to time. When I worked at Shopko in high school, we had a guy run into the store and then barrel through the fire escape door in the back that had locks on it and took off. He literally broke the lock as he barreled through. We thought he was probably high on meth or something like that. Scary!

AFM, been taking it really slow on the running. I also started my training plan over and am going to continue strength training every other day. Also, DH, a friend, and myself signed up for a local 6K on 6/26. It’s called the Meridian Barn Sour. Looking forward to that at least!

Hope everyone’s training is going well! :wave2:
