Hakuna Kidani, What a Turtleful Phrase!

Thanks for the tour! I love shopping with you! Of course, when I go to WDW, I really don't have the same restraint I have when I'm shopping with you.

Looks like a great pool day!

I always look at her pictures and go how did I miss that? I was standing right there! Could be the chasing after 3 kids that is protecting my wallet right now.

I'm determined not to let this one get away from me! 9 pages in and I'm all caught up....not bad! :rotfl:

Glad you are here. You haven't missed much just settling in. With the start of school right around the corner I feel like this one won't move quite as fast as the last one.

(I meant to quote the picture but accidentally typed over the code.) You guys just made it south of Atlanta, huh? I've actually never been to that Chick Fil A....need to check it out!

Yes, JUST south. Sophie was awake and ready to nurse per her normal routine she did not care that our plan was to try and get to Perry before stopping.

Sweet girl! I can't wait to meet her. Just realized I haven't met her yet!!! We must fix this. ;)

Hopefully very soon!

Tell Brooklynn good choice on the Lion King suite - that's the one I'd choose too! I just love the colors and that's one of my favorite movies. Honestly, I like all the theming at AoA but I think that's my favorite. :thumbsup2

That was my choice, as well, but I wanted the girls to get the final say so.

What a fun update, MeMom. Love all the little touches in the room...so very cute. And what a fun window shopping excursion!!!! Love the paintbrush pens.

Maybe all the resorts will start to get resort-themed t-shirts again? I know OKW has new ones.

It seems the DVC and Deluxe resorts have more resort specific merchandise.

The room is really decorated cute. Love all the little touches. Great way to end the day, walking around AoA and Shopping. :)

The room was super cute. The girls thought it was awesome.

Love the room décor! Bayleigh would be so happy there. She loves Lion King. That was the theme of her birthday party.

You really are immersed in the theme there. None of my girls has had a Lion King party. We've done many other Disney themes but not that one, yet!

He got me the purple shirt with Ariel on it. I got all giddy when I saw it in your pictures/

nice assortment of food choices, some of them catch my eye.

I look at that shirt every time but I just can't bring myself to spend that money. Maybe next trip?!?!

Not a whole lot....... :rotfl2: Probably some leftover pizza from Via Napoli, creamer for coffee, some zebra domes......... :confused3

Ours is usually a half gallon of milk and assorted Ziploc bags of MeMom's leftovers.

I like the way the artwork on the table top lines up with the artwork on the bottom of the bed! :thumbsup2

They really did go all out with the unique designs of the furniture, headboard, etc......... ::yes::

They really did an amazing job of theming everything!

Looks like a lot of unique and interesting items at the food court! Gotta love a Surf and Surf sandwich!!! :goodvibes

They do have some different things at the food court. It's nice to have some options other than the burgers and fries and pizza.

So what DID Daisy say when she bought lipstick??? :confused3

Those are pretty cool!!! :)

I meant to get one and just never made it down to do it.

High on my list too!!! :goodvibes

No one plays with her because she kicks everybody's tails!

Enjoyed the suite pictures. Looks like such a fun place! We must visit AoA on our next trip. I love the paintbrush pens....that would be fun at school. Did you get one?

You definitely need to go walk around. I think MeMom got one. I meant to and forgot. I will have to fix that on my next trip!

Loving the Trip Report so far! We are staying at AoA in October for our honeymoon so its nice to see such a detail review. :)

We have really enjoyed visiting and staying there. Be warned the food court is a lot of "create your own" stuff which is awesome until the food court is packed and you have to wait in line forever! Just eat at off peak times and you are good to go.

Now I want to know what did daisy duck say when she bought lipstick lol :thumbsup2 I love the lamps in the room.

I do not know. They were very cool lamps.

LOVE the Lion King suite!! How fun!

Belle I am so sorry about your friends baby. Heartbreaking - I'll be praying for her.

I was more impressed by them than I thought I would be.

Wow, there sure is a lot to look at in those suites. Did it seem much bigger than a regular room? It looks kind of crowded in there to me. I bet kids love it though.

I think we had a ton of space. I didn't feel cramped at all.

What did Daisy say when she bought lipstick?
(most likely) Just put it on my bill! ;)

I don't know what their answer was, but that one definitely works!

She's a clever one isn't she?!?!

Aw man! I wish I would've seen those Cars wall decals when we were there! They would go perfect in the baby's room!

Maybe Kristen can keep her eye out for them when she goes soon.

:rotfl::rotfl2: I was trying to figure it out.

Me too!

I made it on page 10, I will take it! :rotfl2: I loved seeing the pictures of your room. I'm not sure we will ever stay there, but it looks really neat. I can't wait to see and hear more about your trip!

Glad you made it! I was glad to have the chance to try it out for one night. It was nice to have all that room to spread out.

Does anyone know how they Disneyfied Scrabble?? Do the tiles have pictures on them or something? I just cant figure it out.

ETA-went back and looked at the picture again. Looks like bonus points for playing Disney words.

I think we should have this game at the Distown Community Center, so we can find out. :thumbsup2 I'm not sure what the cards are about.

Unless anyone has a better answer to Daisy's riddle, we'll go with Jane's answer. Sounds good to me. :goodvibes

Whoever asked about the room feeling cramped, it really didn't. It felt plenty spacious. It just needed a balcony. :rolleyes1

Sending out a big :welcome: to our newest Disney friends. Glad you are joining in the chatter.

Looks like I missed some great updates. Danielle had dance camp from Friday til Monday and I was the parent chaperone. I was fun but exhausting.

We ofter drive but I don't remember seeing a great welcome center on I-10. :( You got such great pictures of the girls around the center, even with Bella being sassy. Arriving at the resort is the best! Hopefully some day we will make to at least check out AOA. So many details to see. Of course I enjoyed the shopping pictures.

I went on ebay, and found a few pictures, the tiles have the Mickey outline on them with the letters, and there are special bonus cards for extra points, as well as bonus points for Disney words.

Camps are fun. ::yes::

Finally getting to our resort, no matter how long or short the wait and no matter how we travel, is always sort of surreal - and it is always exciting! :cool1: You will enjoy a tour of Art of Animation. It is very colorful and nicely decorated, most especially for kids.

So, who else wants to play? I can't get my kids to play with me. :(

I don't know about your neck of the woods today, but mine is H-O-T!

Makes me want to go back in time and be here....

splashing around in the water with the girls.

Looks nice, huh?

Sophie was having fun at AoA.

Bella has fun everywhere she goes.

Duuuude! Come on down. The water's rockin' awesome!

When swim time was over, we went back to the room. The girls wanted a picture with Rafiki.

While I was in the shop earlier, I bought us a new pack of character figures.

We got two princesses and something else, but the faces looked funky on the princesses and we didn't want the other one, so before the trip was over, we traded them in for three different ones at Once Upon a Toy.

I think at this point, Jill just wanted to get dinner and call it a night. Remember, we had left in the wee hours of the morning. Her family's annual passes had expired, so they couldn't go to a park, anyway.

We decided to eat at Caribbean Beach. John wanted to stay back, and Brooklynn was too tired to move, so she stayed with him and watched TV.

Passing Pop Century.

Arriving at Caribbean Beach.

This place is so well-themed. Whenever I do my next Disney room, it will have a CBR theme. :cool2:

We usually get chicken and vegetables here.

They give you more food than you can eat in one sitting.
The cornbread is really good, too.

Unique fans.

Boy, what I wouldn't give to be in that pool right now. It's currently 90 here, but feels like 103 with the humidity. Now, dont' get me wrong...I prefer this over cold and snow, but I also prefer being in a pool during this heat and not in my "good" work clothes.

The girls are just too cute (did I say that already?).

Shall we do a tiny bit of shopping?

A quick peek outside.

Back inside, going toward the front door.

A CBR bus stop.

It was nice to have the car to make the quick trip from AoA to CBR without having to transfer on a bus or get a cab. :thumbsup2

Back at AoA, Jill's family was done for the day, but I was off to Magic Kingdom. I wanted to see the Mine Train progress and look for some things in the Emporium.

It was wonderful to be in Magic Kingdom again, but it wasn't as exciting as it would have been if the girls had been there.

I almost always take a window picture.

There are interesting stories about Main Street windows.

New signage at Main Street Bakery.

At that point, it was still closed. When I went back again on the last night of the trip, when I was sprinting back to Frontierland to get Vero Beach pins that couldn't be found at Vero Beach, I could have gone inside Main StarBuckery, but I totally forgot about it. It had just opened either the day before or that day. I was on such a mission, though, and I was racing the clock before the Frontierland store closed, so that was all that was on my mind. Bummer.

I didn't have plans to go into Tomorrowland, so I got a picture from afar.

At the castle.

Random family playing Sorceror.

Fantasyland.

The Mine Train is really coming along!

Have a look for yourself!

This is going to be a hit, I do believe.

Looking toward Belle and Beast territory.

Circling around the construction.

Anything interesting in here for the newlyweds?

MeMom, I do love "shopping" with you; you find the best stuff. And great progress being made on the Mine ride.

Didn't buy these.

Smelled like popcorn.

This was the most you could see that was not behind the walls.

Past the Grotto.

Self-explanatory.

Dopey is trying to cause trouble.

From the Storybook Circus side.

Potty break at Rapunzel's place.

Going out of Fantasyland.

In Yankee Trader.

You know I love this stuff!

For Haunted Mansion fans.

Liberty Bell.

Lanterns in the tree.

Wedding stuff in the Christmas Shoppe.

Patriotic Minnie.

The stars of a summer movie.

For Alice fans.

The Alices need to be freed from the teapots!

Shoe ornaments.

Closer than this now.

When I am next in that store, it will be Christmas!

That's it for now. I'll get us out of Magic Kingdom next time.

It is blazing hot here. I have been working in the yard a little every day trying to get some shrubs trimmed back, but I am dripping wet within minutes. I don't see how the road construction guys make it in heat and concrete. :faint: I will take the heat over the snow, too, though.

I'd be thrilled if the Mine Train would do a soft opening the first few days of January. pixiedust:

There is so much to look at in Disney shops. One could spend hours and hours and never even ride anything or see a show!

I should have waited 30 minutes to be sure you were done posting. I responded twice and each time you did another update. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

But I still love shopping with you. I really want to look at more of that wedding stuff even though the kids had their wedding, I wanted to get them a few more things. I did get them the salt and pepper Minnie & Mickey bride and groom shakers.

Two questions -
1- is Rapunzels area just between IASW and heading to Yankee Trader? Where the meet and greet and stroller parking was before?
2- are those lanterns always hanging in Liberty Tree and why haven't I ever noticed them if they were?

Okay, multiple questions there, but I know you will have the answers!

LOVE shopping with you!

Oh - one more question. What were the dates you were there (that you're currently reporting about)? I get so confused! :confused3

Looks like we were posting at the same time THREE times. Scroll up a bit.

Trent would not have had the Mickey and Minnie figures. He can't go full out Disney in the house, but a subtle touch, he could handle. I might have gotten away with the trivet, which I almost did get.

Yes on Rapunzel's restrooms.

Yes, the lanterns have been there for years. 13 lanterns for 13 colonies.

This trip was in June. I haven't gotten to the March one yet. Maybe in November? :scratchin

Shall we do a tiny bit of shopping?

Please and thank you! I love that you take us shopping with you; I agree, you find the best merchandise!

We have a kissing Mickey and Minnie that my mother in law got for our rehearsal dinner. I admit, I'm not quite sure what to do with it.... I like subtle Disney too or items I can use in the kitchen. Oh, and snow globes too.

That's what I thought about Rapunzel's restrooms (does that sound funny to anyone else?) They were not open in October yet. So I have an excuse for not knowing that for sure.

Now I don't know WHY I didn't ever notice the lanterns! I know I don't spend a lot of time in that area, but really? I've even taken pictures of the tree and the sign at the base. :sad2: Bad Disney Fan!:guilty: Where is a scolding smilie? Next time I will be sure to notice!

That is seriously the cutest room ever! I know you had some hot water issues and not sure if there were others but oh, it is cute! I'm not 6 but I think that bed is cool too!

Glad you got to at least make it to MK even if everyone else pooped out. Long drives, pool time and dinner will do that sometimes.

Love the shopping as always and I just love the "feel" of CBR from the pictures.

Long drive and you still manage to peek in at MK.

Even a non-Disney trip means you stop in even for a few hours. :lmao:

Love that the girls made the trip pretty easily.

Lovin' the Lion King suite.
