I have seen several pictures of little boys getting haircuts on main street and they are all very cute. I am wondering, do they do haircuts on girls? Anyone have any pictures? I love the confetti and colored hairdo's they give the boys!!!

Yes, they do! We had our dd's hair cut there a couple of years ago. I'll try to find the pic.

They cut kids and adults. My son got his haircut there yesterday for $14 plus tip. A customer came in to inquire about getting gel and pixie dust only and they said it would be $5. Some times you jsut hit it right and the wait is not long.

Both of my DDs (2yrs and 1yrs) had their haircut at the MK in sept. DD2 LOVED the pixie dust....but I didn't let her get the colored get. They will give it to girls though!

Ok, I definately want to get the gel and pixie dust for them. I will keep it quiet until we get there and depending on the line, I may surprise them with it. Thanks!!!

anyone know how much for an adult cut? DFi gets his head shaved every few weeks and I would love to get it done there. I don't think he will go for the pixie dust or colored gel, though :( .

Five trips to WDW and I never realized that I could take my two DS's into the Main Street Barber Shop for colored gel and pixie dust. I'm really hoping that they'll go for it when we go next summer, it would be too much fun if they did!

We got our DS's first haircut there 1 1/2 weeks ago. They decorated both of my DD's hair with pixie dust for free. I had no idea that people paid for that! He just sprayed and sprinkled, sprayed and sprinkled. He was very nice!! The picture from the OP shows the nice fellow who did this. Our video is so cute too-- he's whispering in my DS's ear, giving him rolls of stickers, etc. We waited a while for the cut because he was taking his time with 2 little sisters before us. He did a wonderful job on their hair and their mom was very pleased. I'd say, take your little girl. They see all types and do many different kids of things-- the 2 people who were in the opposite chair from us were getting their hair colored green as a joke on the couple they were meeting for dinner. They were easily in their 50's too! With such a wide client base, I'd think it's a safe bet to treat your little girl to a disney cut, even if it's just a trim!

I had my hair cut at MK for the first time ever at Disney this year.
(I'm quite a few years older than 21). :rolleyes1

Its $14 or so (couple of bucks for a tip, too.)

I had a nice chat with the barber.

I dont know if I could stand to sit in the chair that long with all the excitment going on around you

That nice guy in the photo is Michal and he ROCKS!!!! He is really amazing with kids. So gentle and soft spoken. I can't say enough about him.

We have done this several times...all of my kids LOVE it. We have found that if you go there FIRST thing, there is no wait, and you have all day to enjoy your style. I will usually hang out wih the kids while they get either cuts or pixie dust, and DH will go grab us Fastpasses. This is a highlight for everyone, and we get lots of attention throughout the day from characters, CM's, and other guests.

OH!!! And yes, my DH has gotten his hair cut there AND had gotten hair gel, too (about $14). I think during our last trip he got green gel and a Mickey face on the back of his head (he has a short military hair cut). He got LOTS of attention and he was the kids hero that day.... :wizard:

My dd had her first haircut there last Friday, with Michael. Such a great experience, and he did a great job. Was worth the wait, for the memories :earsgirl:

When we went in July Michael was on vacation- and so many people were disappointed. I wonder if he realizes how popular he is. People actually walked away because he wasn't there.
And as an aside my ds got a great haircut and a mickey in gel on the back of his head- he loved it. DD no interest- She saw a girl getting it done and they just streaked her hair with the gel and dd didn't like it- so that was the end of a hairdo for dd(but they sprayed her with pixie dust for free!)

My four year old agreed to have his haircut there last week and this was an amazing thing to us. He HATES having his hair cut and he sat so patiently and talked so nicely. (I think it was the fact that he would have his own "Hidden Mickey" on the back of his head that did it. He is the Hidden Mickey King.) We had it done during the parade so they turned his chair so he could look out the window and watch. It was nice to watch it from that little nook.

Adults $17.00

Can I take my dd3 to get just a style and pixie dust with no hair cut. My dd got her first hair cut there and they styled it so nice but she does not need her hair cut right now.

Just to clarify...

It's $5 if you want gel and pixie dust
It's Free if you just want pixie dust & no gel.

I think the people who got free pixie dust are with someone who is getting a service done. So, if you or someone you are with is getting a hair cut or gel yes the pixie dust is free. I have only been there once so I could be wrong.

I was there this past Friday and just want to say that if your young son or daughter are "hysterical" about getting their hair cut, then I would suggest that you not push the matter. While we were there to have my son's hair cut, there was a little girl in the chair that was obviously upset and the guy that was cutting the hair said "I don't want this to be a bad experience for your daughter." The mother replied, "That's ok, she won't remember it anyways!" So, I ask...who was this hair cut for....the daughter or the mother?!? And the sad part was neither the mother or father were making it a "Kodak moment" because they didn't even have a camera with them to take pictures. I think it is awful that parents put their small children through something that they obviously will not remember anyways.

By the way....my son (who is 18) didn't get his hair cut...the lines were too long and it was upsetting to see the little girl so upset!
