We are going on the 4 day Wonder Cruise in February. My 11 y/o DD would love to get her hairbraided but I don't want us to waste one single moment of the cruise waiting in line or waiting to get her hair braided.

I was wondering if there is any place in Cocoa beach where I could bring her the day before the cruise. We arrive in the area Saturday afternoon so this it just an idea I am tossing around. On the other hand, am I taking away from her hairbraiding experience by having it done beforehand or will just having the hairbraids on the cruise be good enough??

Anyone have any insight?

Thanks,
Sandy

I don't think you will have much luck in Cocoa Beach. I thought the same as you that it would be nice to have it done right before the crusie the day before. I found a site that listed beauty salons in Cocoa Beach. They don't have site so I called quite a few of them. I was surprised that they didn't do the hair braiding. The only place that said they would do it charged $5 a braid!!!

We went on the 3-day in June, and my niece got hers at 10:30pm the very first night. It was perfect timing.

You would think that someone would pick up on this service. I bet they could make a pretty penny!!!!

fI couldn't resist do a quick search on hair braiding on the ship.

On the 4-night, look in the Welcome Navigator. There should be a time listed for sign ups. At the present, I believe sign-ups are 5:30pm-6:30pm outside of the treasure Ketch (shops by the theater) on the first night right after you start to sail out.

I'm not sure if the 4 night does some that night like they did on the 3-night. We went down at about 5:15 and there was a line already.

Thanks for the info Musicgirl...and you're right. Someone should pick up on this in Cocoa Beach. I'm sure there's a market for it.

You also just confirmed exactly what I was trying to avoid. Lining up an hour before signing up just to be able to do this on the ship.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Sandy
