Hair wraps??

Can anyone tell me how much the hair wraps are at the resorts?? I remember that it is per inch but, I can't remember how much it is and both of my girl want to do it this time.

Hi. Just got back and it is $1.50 per inch plus $5 each for special beads and charms. Included in the price are the color-coordinated beads that go with the string colors you choose. The wraps are really festive and fun. Get them early in your trip!!

Hair wraps are a neat memory of your trip once you get home and still have it..although for me it's very pricey since I have hair 3/4 of the way down my back...Last year it cost me $37.50 plus beads!! This year I'm getting my hair cut BEFORE I go to WDW...

We will be staying at CBR in May and I was curious if they do it there as well.

They have them at most resorts near or at the pools.

The hair wraps may seem pricey, but the one my daughter had done at POR was very well done. It's been almost two months since our trip and the wrap still looks beautiful. Just looking at it brings back great vacation memories! She has hair just past shoulder length and her wrap cost about $35 with a few special beads. Her souvenir was a hit with her 6th grade friends and we think she has enjoyed it as much as a sweatshirt or a charm bracelet.... hey wait a minute, we bought those souvenirs for her too!!!

There is also a Hair Wrap station in Animal Kingdom, I think next to Pizza-Safari.

My DD had a hair wrap done at a little stand near the Muppet fountain at MGM Studios--it was INCREDIBLE!! It lasted forever--I think we finally cut it out after about 6 months--and it never got straggly (is that a word???! ) or sloppy-looking. It was a young man who did it--I think his name was Alex, but it was Dec. of 2002 so that could be way off!!

DD has her 3rd one. Got at POR one time, CR another and CBR last month. Her hair is longer now (1/3rd way down back) and she got her 3 initials on blocks at the ends and it was only $22 this time! She always gets hers behind the ear, making it shorter than from the top. We cut them out and keep as a souvenir after 3 months, still in great condition. Such a tiny bit of hair and not in a noticeable place. They are her favorite thing to get, though we don't do it every trip.
Oh, I also give a tip, not sure that all do though.

Are there hair wrap stations at POFQ or AKL? If so, when are they open until? On our last trip my DD had her hair done at Sea World and it lasted at least two months after we came home! She really wants it done again - if we can get it done at one of the resorts that will save time at the parks!

There was one not far from the pool at AKL when we stayed there in Nov. Just did not get one that visit. Times and availability seem to vary by season and resort.

My daughter got one last time we stayed at POR. The price sounded reasonable, but in the end it ended up costing a lot. In fact, the lady made it longer than her hair, so it was even more than I expected. She did a great job, though. Just a bit of advise...
When we got home I went to Michaels Craft store and bought a hair wrap book, which came with the threads, but I bought extra thread and beads, and I learned to do it myself. It was quite easy. I did my daughters friends, too!! It cost me under $20 for the supplies and I can do many more with what I have left.
