We just got back....DD7 had it done by the POTC.....She loves it!!!!

DD had her's done back in 2001 at Carribean Beach Resort. I can't remember how much it was but she got it done while we were on an afternoon break and swimming at the pool. I do remember she had to sign up and I think it was about an hour wait before her name was called. She loved it though - it's fun to do!

My DD5 got one done while we were at Disney Boardwalk. There was a stand near Spoodles. It costs $1.50 per inch plus optional beads.

Took the words out of my mouth regarding boardwalk, they are actually quite simple to do at home, I dont know about anyone else but when I was a tween we used to make bracelets out of colored string called chinese staircases, which essentially is what a hair wrap is, just braid the hair and wrap it with the same technique, beads are optional!
