I've heard that you need to have a reservation at a salon way in advance so I'm trying to start the planning on that. Which salon do you think would be best to do a wedding updo on the day of the ceremony? It needs to be one on the Disney Property. Do you have approximate costs?

Thanks in advance

The easiest thing for you to do would be to have Disney cosmetology come to your room. Is that not an option for you? You can request it in your planning packet and your EM will arrange it for you. I don't have my PP handy, but I'm having my hair and makeup done and I think it's $80 for one and $65 for the other.

That would be an option. I can't wait to get my planning stuff to arrive!!!!

Where in WDW are you getting married? If you are getting married in any of the resorts closest to the Magic Kingdom, you would want to go to the salon at the Grand Floridian.

If you are getting married in the Epcot/MGM area, I would suggest the salon at the Yacht and Beach Club.

Coronado Springs also has a full service salon, but I haven't heard much about it.

Congratulations on your big day!

We're getting married at Sunset Pointe at 5 so the GF isn't that far but the come to my room things if reasonably priced sounds even better. Thank yall!

I agree withmufasa0505...go with Disney Cosmo...I had Irene and she was fantastic! I loved my look and I was very worried because I have short hair, and I am very picky about my makeup. I could not have gotten better service, plus it was so nice to not have to worry about how I was going to get from AKL to a salon and then back to AKL then on to Sunset Pointe. It is worth the money to have Disney Cosmo!!

I had Disney Cosmo. come to my room...it was the best! I called only a week in advance and everything was perfect. They are really great!

I would go with Disney Cosmo....I originally went to the GF Salon (which by the way is privately owned, not Disney people) and was not happy. Then Disney Cosmo came to my room and "fixed" the hair that I had just done at the GF Salon. Serena was the best!!!

I stayed in the Grand Floridian and had my wedding the the pavillion and I made my mind up the 11am the day before my wedding to use disney cosmo and had Irene she was fantastic but they do recommend to book in advance I was very very lucky
