We stopped @ a small hair salon that was bi-lingual and asked about hair braiding. They did my DD hair in braids to the crown of her head and it only cost me $20.00! We're planning on driving up this summer and taking a slight detour to do this again BEFORE we get to Disney
Do you have the address for this place? I am sure we could do that because we often eat off property!Only 4 days till we go! i cant wait! Thanks for replying!
I would suggest looking in a phone book when your offsite and see what hair salons are nearby. I have some African American friends tell me that the hair salons they go to braid excellently and really fast and it's not as much money as other salons charge. I hope this helps - good luck

djh96 said:My daughter got her hair braided at the beauty salon at the Dolphin. The people that work here also work at the salon at the Beach Club. It cost $50 for half her head. They did a horrible job. It was falling out after 2 days. We went back & another girl fixed some of the rows that were falling out. She said that the rubber bands break when mixed with suntan lotion & chlorine, but also let it slip that the rows were not back far enough.
A few days later we went to Universal & my daughter had someone do her hair there. It was done much better and their rubber bands didn't seem to break like Disney's.
Tink 90 - I know exactly what your talking about - I inquired all over Disney for my daughter in the summer of 2003. I was told that he only place @ Disney that does braids (no cornrolls anywhere) is at the hair salon between the Yacht Club and the Beach Club and if I remember, it was pretty pricey too. It's pretty close to Beaches and Cream.
