Travelin' on the Magic - Eastern Cruise. Where is the best place for my daughters to get their hair braided? Do they do it on the ship? What does it cost? Thanks for your input.
We were just on the Wonder 2/19. THey had hair braiding on the ship (we didn't realize it until afterwards) Not sure how much it was. But we had our girls' hair done on Castaway Cay by women employed by Disney. (we trusted them for cleaniness on Disney's island instead of having it done in Nassau by the island people). ...sorry if that sounded mean. :0(
Anyhow it was $2 per cornrow or $1 a braid. My DD age 8 had her whole front done in cornrows, about 20 something braids and it was over $50 but you can have as many braids or as little as you want. HOpe this helps.
I know of a few guest that complained of the quality of hairbraiding on the ship. Plus this way it will stay in longer after you get home!
Braids were $1.00 per braid. Cornrows are $2.00 per row. Depending on how many rows, it could run you about $40 - $50 for a headband (half front of head).
Look in the very first Navigator to get the exact time for sign ups on the ship. It is usually 5:30pm the first night outside of the theater/shops.
My niece got hers done the first night and enjoyed it the whole trip. Also, she didn't have anyone bugging her to get it done on shore. She had the "crown" done in a zig zag pattern. The girl did a beautiful job for $22.
