Hair braiding?

Has anyone ever had their hair braided on disney property? DD12 keeps asking about it and I am not sure if I have to make an appointment somewhere or if we can walk up and have it done. Thank you for any info.

Not sure about braiding... I have read that they do hair wraps at the Poly?

I definitely saw hair wrapping with colorful thread - now where was it? Animal Kingdom Africa? Or was it Epcot in the World Showcase? Anyone remember?

Thanks for all your help. She said it was definately the hair braiding one of her friends got it about 3 years ago when she was in disney, but her family can't remember where they got it.

They said it was the corn rows about two inches back from your forehead.

Not sure about the braiding, but the wrapping is outside POTC in MK!

Gonna be in it for a ton if DD still wants it done..

My Daughter as gotten hair wraps at MK (by POTC) and at our stays at both the Poly and the GF. I believe there's one at the YC/BC too. I've never seen hair braiding at any of the parks or resorts. Good luck
P.S- They charge by the inch... so if your daughter has long hair, be prepared to spend upwards of $30.

Our daughter had island braids done by Periwigs salon at Yacht and Beach Club. She looked great our entire trip! Call the resort to schedule an appointment.

I've never seen hair BRAIDING stations around, only hair WRAPPING. I asked a couple people in Oct 08 (the last time I was there...I'm seriously craving a trip right now) where they found places for the braiding, and the 5-6 people I talked to said they'd all gotten it done outside Disney property at other tourist attractions. I'm sure you could get it done at one of the salons there, but you'll probably pay more than you're expecting. The hair wrapping gets very expensive too though, I was sitting near one of the stations at DTD and watched a girl with medium length hair (she was around 10 and her hair hit her just below the shoulders if that gives you a better idea) and I overheard the total was $45 (I know she got beads on the end too, not sure if that cost extra)

This most recent time we got it done at the Boardwalk.
