I know this has been asked before, but I can't seem to get there. Where do they do the hairbraiding and /or hair wraps? Which resorts? Is it thru the hair salon or just out at the pools? And finally, can you get an appointment for anywhere or is it all just show up and wait? Thanks for your help!:)

I dont know which resorts have the hair wraps but my DD got hers done at the AK. It was just a little stand outside of some shops. There was a sign in sheet you put your name on, then waited for your turn. It took about 20-30 min., longer I am sure for someone with long hair. It was nice because she got to sit there while getting worked on and had a perfect view of the parade. Some characters even came over to her to say hi!

CSR has hair braiding by the pool. My DD had hers done at Blizzard Beach.

We have had hair wrapped at Boardwalk and OKW. The line seems to fluctuate - at spring break they waited forever. Other times there was no wait.

My DD got her hairwrap near the marina at PO-R. Walk up basis. You can put name on a list if a long wait, and keep checking back.
They were there until about 5:00. Also done at DD, AK and maybe MK. I think most resorts have the stations. WL had the cart right by the pool. A hairwrap is a single small clump of hair that is covered with 4 different colored threads that you choose. Beads that you pick are put on the end. We cut my DD's off after 3 months and it is hanging on her vanity  ! She had a piece done underneath on the side.
I think actual braids(like you get on cruises) are done at a particular salon. I don't know about these.

DD had her hair wrap at MGM near the Muppets show, took about 20 min. cost $25.

Hi there,
If you are looking for the hair wraps....... I know for fact that last year they were at the pool at the Poly.......and at the pool at both
ASMO and by the the lobby at ASMU.. so yes you can get them done at resorts.......(I didn't see anyone at the Contemp. though)
and yes you put your name on a list and wait for it to be done. There was hardly any wait at the Poly!! Good luck!!

In May my daughter had her hair wraped on the Boardwalk right near the water taxi. No wait, but there was a sign-up sheet that was avail. The other family we were with went to a spot right in front of the Yacht & Beach near the snack bar along the walkway. We stayed at the Boardwalk so this was convenient.

My DD got her hair wrap at the Boardwalk but there was also a stand at the Grotto Pool (Swan/Dolphin). You pay by the inch and charms are extra. MY DD's shoulder length hair with charms cost about $30. But they did a great job. She had it in for about 2 months. She had to take it out for school and it took our hair stylist 1 hour to unravel it (cutting it off would have been really noticible)
Just be careful which charms are picked--my DD picked a wizard charm and then complained that it was too heavy and pulling her hair. She had the charm cut off the threads at the barber shop on Main St.
Next time she want some kind of clip on hairwrap.;)

I have had my shoulder length hair done twice at Caribbean Beach. There is a stand right outside on the promenade. Be careful with the clip in hair wraps though. I got one of those too and it HURTS when I wear it because the clip is pulling on the hair. The beads make it bottom heavy and it does pull and even with my very very curly hair its hard to hide the clip.

My daughter had her hair wrap done at the Poly next to the pool. THey had a sign in sheet and we waited for about 10 minutes. We had it done on vacation last month and she still has it in her hair. She loves it.

There is a page on ebay that i bought for my daughter clip ons with better quality and cheaper price then the ones in disney and universal..if you want to check it out just go to EBAY and where it say search put hairwrap the background of the pic is red.I found interesting.
