Had to go with Priceline since Uncle Sam ate our lunch. It will be one adult and four children (7-13). Will there still be any magic? All I've read are negative comments. Can't afford to upgrade to the kidsuite at H.R., will have to stay in 2 standard rooms. HELP!!!:earseek:

I would run not walk to the Hyatt website and email the hotel with you confirmation # (it begins with an H) and request a north tower room. GOOD LUCK.

But just in case bring lots of LYSOL! and slippers, wouldn't want to walk on that carpet in bare feet.

I haven't stayed there but have also not read the best of reviews. I know there are some good ones as well. A friend stayed there via Priceline and said the hotel was fine but the room was a bit worn. It is a very nice looking Hyatt. When you arrive you will be impressed with the building and entrance from Harbor Blvd. My main reason for not staying there is it is too far from the park. I prefer to be with in a 5-10 minute walk. I have heard the new ART shuttles are very reliable.

Our last visit to this hotel was in November. I reserved two rooms through Priceline...called the hotel to request adjoining rooms in the North Tower. They took the request, but indicated that it wasn't guaranteed. When we arrived, adjoining rooms were not available. The front desk guy told me adjoining rooms are very limited. He also told me that the North Tower is exclusively suites. I asked him if he could combine the two rooms into a kids suite which he did. We were very pleased with the kids suites - our kids LOVED the bunk beds.

The shuttle was in a greyhound type bus - not the ART. It ran on time (departs from hotel on the 1/2 hour - from Dl at 20 and 50 after the hour), but can get crowded at the busy times of the day. However, when the bus filled, another one was right behind it. It is shared with a couple other hotels - but if I remember right, the Hyatt is the first to pick up and the first to unload.

There's lots of info about others Priceline experiences at www.biddingfortravel.com .

This is not true. We stayed in a north tower room and it was not a suite. It was standard room.

I believe they do not like to give Priceline stays rooms in the North Tower rooms, though.
