Had to have "the talk" with DS tonight....

Kids never ask about Santa until its obvious that Christmas is coming. In other words, it doesn't come up that often in July. .

Both my kids had "the talk" in the summer between 3rd and 4th grade. I figured if they were obsessed about it in the summer, they wanted the actual facts. In both cases they had shown signs of knowing the year before, but hadn't wanted to jinx it. Santa only brings one present and fills the stockings here too, so it wasn't a huge deal when they found out. I think they were both relieved not to be wondering anymore.

I don't remember when I figured it out, either!

I do remember being in kindergarten having a couple of six graders talking to me about Santa. One tried to tell me there was no such thing, the other told his friend to shut up, and then told me that there WAS such a thing as Santa and not listen to his friend, who he proceeded to wack on the arm to get him to stop talking! I remember thinking that the whole conversation was weird and proceeded to go play on the swings!

It's funny what we remember!

There is a Santa...I see him every year at the mall. You can't convince me otherwise other then the fact he hasn't brought me my 5'5", blonde, female aerobics instructor/porno star that I keep asking for.
