We are due to go to WDW for two weeks next Saturday and today we had to cancel :sad1: :sad1:

Its been a difficult decision, but we are moving house in a few weeks and that is costing us so much money.. plus I suppose we dont actually NEED to go (since we did 3 USA trips last year, and have a WDW trip booked for August this year anyway).

Still, as we cancelled the flights, I did feel sad.

I am excited about moving house and EXTREMELY CROSS :furious: :furious: about the fact we are losing £1200 with BA on our flights.. (but with hotels, car hire, spending money and park tickets we would have spent another £3000 probably, and that will pay for half my new flooring in the new house..)

It is purely a financial decision.
It makes me mad, as we NEVER pay for flights, we usually use air miles and they are fully refundable/transferable etc! Ok, I can live with losing the money, but what makes me cross is that I know so many deserving people who would love to go to Florida if I gave them three tickets with BA.. but you are not allowed to transfer them :sad2: :confused3 :sad2: to another name.
So the tickets will just go un-used.. or actually at this stage they will no doubt sell them again!

After many arguements, and much discussion with BA and DH.. we cancelled them and our accomodation (which we dont lose anything on)..
and will just have to dream of Disney for the time being... :cloud9: :cloud9:

anyway, just thought Id share my frustration about the stupid rules (not specific to BA I dont think!)..

Anyway, the new house is gorgeous and Im happy to spend time ther rather than go to WDW, but what a silly system!!

Can someone give Mickey a hug from us. This will be the longest that we have not been to wdw in 6 years!
I am more worried how I am going to cope if I run out of my bath and body works soap before August!!!!

What a shame Sammie. Sometimes though holidays have to take second place and as you say you are getting your lovely new home in exchange :thumbsup2

I will say roll on August :teeth:(for me as well as you!)

Such a shame Sammie, especially as you don't normally pay for the flights, never mind, you'll enjoy spending on your new house just as much.

Sorry to hear that you are having to cancel your holiday, thankfully August isn't that far away. Good luck in your new home :wizard:

Shame that you'd had to cancel Sammie, but with your new house to look forward too along with trip in August that is at least some compensation. :grouphug:

Sorry to hear you had to cancel your holiday.I hope you have many happy times in your new home. :goodvibes
Have a great trip in August. :thumbsup2

Shame you are having to cancel Sammie. At least you are going this year and you can enjoy your new house.

Sorry to hear you have had to cancel so near to your holiday.
Now you can concentrate on your house and have augusts holiday to look forward to,which isnt too far away!! :thumbsup2

I'm so sorry about your trip having to be canceled. I'm in the same boat as I just had to cancel one to Disneyland for next week, so I feel your pain.

Luckily, we didn't lose much, money-wise, on the cancelation, I'm just heartbroken about missing out on such a nice break in the middle of a rather tumultuous time in our lives.

Oh well. I know that if I'm patient, they'll be another trip and I can have my reward.
