Had to cancel the night before the trip!!!

So sorry for your partner's loss. And also sorry for your vacation having to be cancelled.

I cancelled 4 hrs before we were due to fly out in October. My dad took ill and the Drs said they didn't know either way. I know exactly how you feel. Your emotions are pulled in so many directions. In my case anyway.
I felt upset and cried like I have never done before. We cancelled a Disney Cruise and WL and VB. I know it was the right thing to do but I was kidding myself that we could maybe go and that my dad would be ok as he has done many times.
I'm glad that I stayed with my Dad and I know that I would not have left him, even though he kept saying to go on holiday and that he would be ok.

He did get out of Hospital but took ill again and died in December. So it was right. But I know how you feel guilty about wishing you could go. All the hard work preparing and arranging all the Trip and then having to take hard decisions. We lost a lot of money as we weren't covered but I know it was right.

Don't be hard on yourself about wishing circumstances were different, its normal.

BuddyThomas I completely understand your disappointment. And quite frankly I would be disappointed too. Hopefully your parter will able to morn the loss and you guys can go n to plan a new and even more amazing trip
