Had some bad news today

I got home a couple of hours ago from a three day, WW2 living history event in Oklahoma. Myself and the person I rode with were part of the event staff and had been busy working all weekend, ensuring that the other 700 participants had fun. last night we decided that we wanted to get a good nights sleep so we opted not to stay in the barracks, which can get rowdy, (this was on a National Guard base) and headed into town.

I found out that about an hour after we left, five of my friends from Austin had the same idea. They were on their way into town when they were struck by an SUV driven by a High School kid. Apparently he had suffered a head injury a few days earlier (he's a wrestler) and had blacked out and ran the stop sign. Two of my friends were killed instantly. A third is in critical condition and had to have her spleen removed. Her husband and the fifth, who has been one of my best friends for many years, suffered broken bones and minor injuries. I'm still waiting to find out more about their condition.

I am not normally the type to ask for P&PD, but if you have any to spare I know they can use it. Thanks.
