I understand there is still no rhyme or reason to getting a PIN code but I have had reservations for about 1 month. Then when the GP discount came out I was depressed. We are going March 14th-22nd. I then read someone talking about saving an offer then receiving a PIN that extended til march 24th, so I figured why not. I did and about a day later I received a PIN in my email. I adjusted reservations tonight and booked Riverside Royal Room and saved about $700. Good Luck to others.

I have a few offers saved under my account of the Disney website since we aren't sure which offer we are going with yet. Hoping for the free dining but if that doesn't come out, not sure if we will be going with the room discount or the SPD offer.

I have a few saved too. Called last week and no pin. Called today and still no pin. The cast member went through all the booking questions about dates, ages, how many times we have been to Disney etc. This was different from my last call where she just said there were no pins. I was hopeful but then she gave me rack rate pricing. She tried to get me to book and then wait for deals and apply them but I just said I'd think about it. Oh well. Still waiting for a discount miracle for our dates!

When saving offers, do you do the chat with a CM when the chat window pops up? Does it increase your chances?

My experiences with the online chat option is that they are useless. Any question I've had, I've been instructed to call:confused3. Can't believe that would help your chances of a PIN.

I did not use the chat when i saved the offer. I actually just put random dates in for January.

When I've saved offers, I just get an email from Disney Destinations shows me what I saved and "asks" me to finish reserving. No pin codes. (I've tried three times in the last couple months, with the same outcome).

I'm going to give it a shot and see! I'm guessing it will let me save a reservation even if I have a trip reserved?

Congrats on your pin!:cool1:

Can I ask when your last trip to WDW was? Was your saved offer room only or package?

I've never gotten a pin. I think I go too often so they know I'll come without one.:rotfl: I've gotten pins sent to my home address but always in the name of someone who has gone with me.

Everytime a new pin comes out my husband seams to get one. I have no idea why he gets them when I am the one who books everything and orders the DVD in my name. :confused3 When he got the latest pin (35% off RO for dates Jan - May or FD dates Jan - March) we already had a trip booked for December but changed to Feb with the FD for the lower crowd levels.
I also wanted to add that our last trip was December 2011 so it hasn't been overly long since our last trip.

I just got a room pin for a big chunk of dates for next year, including next September. I wonder if its because I had it booked and then cancelled and specifically said I was waiting for a room only discount. Oddly enough it came in my married name, but my zip code attached was for my parents house and I haven't lived there in years! However I called and they fixed it for me

You may use any pin assigned to your address. Even if it comes in another name :)

Here is what I did that lead up to the RO pin.

1. I had already booked at POR(package, room and tickets)hoping on Free dining for our dates 3/14-3/22
2. I then saved a package at POR(package, room and tickets) for dates in January(completely random dates)
3 About 24hrs later I got the RO PIN.

My last visit to Disneyworld was 3 yrs ago at apporximately the same time.

Well...here's where I'm at:
1. I booked at AKL (package, room and tickets) hoping on free dining
2. I just saved a package at POFQ (package, room and tickets) to check out the price difference for us
3. Am now hoping that in 24 hours I get a PIN

I'll let everyone know!

We have had reservations for about a month, but I just got on Disney's site and saved an offer for the exact same vacation. Maybe I will get a pin?? It has been 5 years since we went to WDW.

Here's to hoping :scratchin

Good luck all!

So I saved an offer and never got an email or postcard about a PIN...then I called just now to change something on my reservation and asked if there happened to be a PIN. There was a RO discount PIN for 35% off. Unfortunately, the 35% off doesn't apply to the savannah room at AKL, which is why I booked using the p/s/d before.

However, she did price out the discount with the PIN and I saved $72. I was holding my breath hoping I would get the full 35% off and save another couple hundred dollars but in the end I guess $72 is better than nothing!

I'm not sure what triggered the PIN or why I didn't get an email but to repeat what others have said - it doesn't hurt to call!
