Had Code

So after reading the threads for the last couple of days, I decided to call and see if maybe I had a code attached to my name. Turns out I do, but unfortunately the code for my name was for January and February only. We are going in October so that does me no good.

The CM told me to try back later that I would probably get another one before then.

At first the CM said it was a Jan/Feb code so we couldn't use it but then she read the fine print and it was Jan/Feb or selected weeks throughout the year until Dec, 07. I would call and double check again. We got great rates!

I have the Jan-Feb code and we are going the end of Nov. thru begining of Dec. Do you know what weeks?

I called tonight and asked about it. The CM put it this way "Your particular pin was for Jan 1 through Jan 11, and then Jan.15 through February 14th." My 'particular' pin-- I was so excited, too! But we've changed our ressie Again and are now at the WL Nov. 14-18th though I'm still not sure if I want one more day in there...

I had called also and told I had a pin attached to my name but it was only for January/February and was not good for our travel dates. Then I read about the "code" and so I called back the next night. I asked if this code needed a pin number and if not, could we use it. The CM said that we qualified and that we didn't need a pin number. I told her that I did not want to book anything that I wasn't eligible for, but she said we qualified and that she wouldn't be booking anything that she shouldn't as she didn't want to get in trouble either. So I booked 5 rooms for everyone in our group. A couple of days later is when I started reading that this same code needed a pin and that anyone who booked it wasn't entitled to it and was going to be charged rack rate.

After reading your post Lorianndi, now I'm wondering if I had a PIN attached to my name all along and that the January PIN was actually good for selected dates throughout the year just like you. I actually called 3 different times and was able to get the discount all 3 times (we upgraded one of the rooms to the CR). It makes me wonder???? BTW one time when I called, they had my old email address that I haven't had in 7 years even though they had my correct one listed last year! They also had me listed as a 16 yo girl.

Go figure!

We received a PIN offer for January and February too, but were unable to use it. After reading this blog, I went back and looked to see if there was something in fine print stating specific dates throughout the year, mine did not have that. DARN IT! I was getting a little excited!

I've called the Grand Gathering number - 404-939-7526 as well as the 800number - 1-800-828-0228.

Maybe I just got lucky getting all 5 rooms. I'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm not going to worry about it though.
