Can anyone tell me where to go to upgrade the time left on my child ticket for Disney to an adult. My child turned 10. Can I do this at the hotel? THANKS

What type of ticket?
My nephew had the same thing happen--bought an AP when he was 9 1/2. Disney told us it was good until it expired and that it was the age of the child at the time the ticket was purchased. He made 2 trips on it after his 10th birthday without any problems and we checked with CMs both trips.

But, if you want to upgrade, I believe it is done at customer service at the entrance to the parks. I'm not sure about the hotel, though.

Good Luck and Enjoy your trip!

If you are going to use up the admissions on a child's ticket now, just use the same ticket. You will have no problem. The whole concept of exchanging the leftover child ticket for an adult one is really meant for those folks who visited WDW 10-15 years ago and their children are now 18 or 19 (or older!). No one will question you or look strangely at you if you use the child ticket now.

My DS was 9 when we went in 1997, then 10 when we went for NYE 1998-1999. We stopped in Ocala at the Visitor Center (Information Center?) and exchanged his because there was a new park open on that trip, AK! Had no trouble what so ever exchanging it. But there probably is no need, might just help Disney keep more accurate track of attendance records (I'm a bookkeeper, so I think of those strange things:) .)

Upgrade? When we bought DS's ticket in 1989, he was 6, a child. Last year he used the last day, at 20 yo, 5'9", 185 lbs. His child's ticket got him in to Epcot, then MGM without a second glance (and I even brought our hotel confirmation from 1989 in case anyone asked!)

I agree...continue to use the ticket. I seriously doubt they will be out looking for birth certificates to check the age of your now "adult" 10-year old. In fact, my 9 year old reaches 10 in October.::MickeyMo

Guest Services at all the parks will upgrade the child ticket to an adult at no extra charge. You will get a new php with the same number of remaining days and plus options as you had left on the childs pass. The child has to be present and the dates of last use and age of the child now has to make sense. It took us about 5 minutes at Epcot last May.

I doubt WDW will question a 10yo with a 3-9yo ticket wither but if your child is like mine they will question it!!

Just wanted to share my experience. Went to Disney in the early 90s when I was 7 or 8 years old. My mom found a ticket that hadn't been used yet so I brought it back and used it this past March, and I'm 21 years old now. I kept asking people at various locations because I wasn't sure if it would be ok or not, and I would have been just as happy to buy a new adult ticket if they said no, but they said it was fine, and in I went.
Have a great trip!
