Dear Disney Friends,
Were back, and had what feels like a trip of a lifetime! Its hard to believe we are home; we still yearn to be on island time.
Loved sitting with musicgirl and her family! She and her dh Bill are gems and a lot of fun! Enjoyed their ds13 table magic tricks too! Also were tablemates with another wonderful family - another Bill, his dw Shelley and their dd9. We had loads of fun at our table of ten!!!
So happy to meet chinamom3 and her dd at Castaway Cay!
We felt like we were treat like royalty on DCL. I will write some trip reports in the next weeks, there is a ton to share with you all!
Some of our best magical moments
1. Sitting on deck 4 or our along our stateroom porthole and watching the ocean glide by while the ship moved along. This was indeed the beauty of nature.
2. Dueling horns and cheers as we left St. Thomas! (We were on the observation deck on the aft right below Palos. Right next to us was a gentleman on his private verandah for the Walt Disney Suite. Wonder who he was?!) RCCL was docked and the Queen Mary 2 was anchored in port. What a treat to hear their horns say good-bye with people cheering us along their decks, then our Magics horn replying. I felt goose bumps and pure adrenalin in my blood!
3. Parasailing in Castaway Cay along the Magic and beach AWESOME!!!
Did not get much rest on this trip, and we were surprised that we did not! Think it was the dynamics of our family and plans, as our tablemates with a 13-year-old ds seem to get more rest, read a lot, went to the rainforest spa, and spent lots of time in the adult pool. Think it was because we were busy getting dd9 adventures with characters, food, swimming in the family pool, etc. Ds13 went off on his own a lot though. Dd did go to the Oceaneers lab on a few occasions. For us, this was our family vacation, so she was our priority. Mind you, dh and I did have some alone time and it was GREAT!!!
Will write much more in the next few weeks, but need to do laundry, get groceries, and the one minor thing I did was injure one of my typing fingers. Should heal well soon, no biggie!
Thanks for reading this! Hope you and all yours are well! This was the most magical vacation weve ever had!!!
