LOVE AmyMickey's transfers. They are really good. I was able to make the money stretch by doing 2 designs per transfer for the kids. They turned out great and wash great.

Thank you to designers for allowing me to personalize your fab desigs. I do not have that talent so I thank you.

I did most of my own personalization work thanks to my generic free PowerPoint called OpenOffice Impress and my generic free photoshop called Gimp. KellBell did a few for me too. They are awesome!

Kids had to have another stick family this year. That's the fave. And they each had 6 other designs. Hubby and I had stick figure and 1 other each. I would have made me more but ran out of steam.

Tip....don't make your tshirts the day BEFORE your trip. LOL.

I also made penny wrappers for the penny money and finished pennies. They worked great.

Also we did pillowcases and a tshirt for signatures this year. They turned out great. the tshirt was a little challenging for autographs [stretchy fabric] but my DD wore it to school and loved it. In fact, she [DD2] has worn her shirts all week since our return and has gotten great feedback.

The characters enjoyed the pillowcases and tshirt and made many comments and looked for themselves, etc. Big fun. Worth the extra effort.

Those are great.. Can I ask you a question?? Do they send them to you and then you print them out? how to you make them into transfers?

I went to the designers photobucket accounts located under the thread meet the designers or also their individual threads. then I saved the blank picture to my hard drive.

then I added my kids name or the year or whatever i was adding and saved again.

then i printed onto transfer paper that i purchased online at www amymickey com
you print just like you would onto regular paper and then peel it off and then iron it on. the transfer paper will come with instructions.

i only made 2 completely froms scratch and that was the karate and the bieber. i found pictures i liked on google and downloaded the picture. then i opened and added the wording etc. and then saved and printed. the karate one i stole the idea but used different picture and font.

i did have 1 designer make me 2 of the designs. kellbell. she emailed me the jpg picture files and then i printed from my computer.

i used dafont 'chopsticks' [free font]

but here it is...

Trish, did you have hard time with corners on the transfers (from Amy)?
Seems I can't get them to work for me and I follow her instruction to the bits....tried square design or round.....or corners peel or I just can't get transfers to stick on the t-shirt. Yes, i peels that paper off before iron them on....I use iron temp instruction as Amy says on her paper.....no luck.

the autograph tshirt was pulling up in a corner when we got home but i think it was because of all the stretching to get signatures...i just put the parchment on top and re-ironed it and it was fine....

all shirts have been washed at least 1 some 2 and some didn't get caught before dryer. all look great.
