Iv just had my annual healthcare certificate delivered (Im useless at knowing what these things cover) and decided in a minute of madness I would phone and see if there is anything I could claim as I had emergency major surgery in April and Im very pleased to find out Im entitled to £100 per night! Just kicking myself now as I discharged myself a night early and that would have covered the hotel... So Im putting it down as a deposit on the Santa Fe and then only have £100 to find so we should be going to Disneyland on Dec 12th!

So excited now and Im not going to tell anyone :-) its all hush hush till then!

Woo hoo congratulations:cool1::banana::dance3::woohoo:

and another chance to replace your photo's, i know it's not quite the same but woo hoo for another trip :cool1:.
Good luck in keeping the secret. i'm keeping our November trip hush hush from dd and ds but it's sooooo hard i nearly slip up all the time :rolleyes1

Haha I love your way of thinking!!! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
Its like winning money! DLP is the only way it should be spent. A fabulous way to recoup those pics plus all the fun of Christmas season. Are you keeping it a surprise from your OH too?

Im hoping to but Im not very good with secrets...

I start uni in Sept so money is going to be tight especially with 3 kids and we are relocating so I know I cant push the boat out so as much as Im tempted by the sequia lodge or even the Cheyenne Im telling myself Im happy with Santa Fe and next year if finances allow we will go to the Cheyenne and work our way up the hotels hehe! It would be rude not to make use of our annual passes!

Its my OH and son's bday on the 28th October and Im hoping to do there's bdays cheaply... I was going to use this date to do the big reveal but it seems unfair as its her birthday on the 9th Dec. So instead Im going to buy son and OH something cheap for bdays (without feeling too guilty) and then the same on my DDs birthday however the evening of my DDs birthday I can do the big reveal... Her Birthday is on the 9th leaving them the weekend before to get excited especially if we stop via a premier inn again on the Sunday night...

If anyone has any suggestions for me to surprise them or any hints and tips (being a relatively new Disney addict) then Id be very grateful...

PS how do you all eat for less than E60 a day? I have my shareholders card and we treated Annettes as a cheap meal this time round however it still all adds up. My kids and OH all got fed up of the breakfasts this time round and it annoyed me as they were hungry by ten. My DD also doesnt like pastries, cookies etc and so wouldnt even fill up at Salon Mickey!!!!

Talking of which anywhere know where you can get those brioche rolls in the UK from Salon Mickey, the ones with the nuts on top and the lovely gooey chocolate in the middles?

Food is definately the biggest expense. You could try sharing pizzas or mains and just get an extra side but I know that wouldnt work for us cause I eat like a horse and DS is more like a hoover/2 year old rubbish bin :rotfl2:

You could reveal to your OH on his birthday and then the kids on the 9th. Then you could share the planning and excitement with your OH.
Maybe paint a wall.... Oh wait its been done!!! :lmao::rotfl2: I like the whole idea of buying a helium baloon and putting it in a big gift wrapped box with an invitation attached to the balloon.
For my Dd Ive gotten a book printed which has her pics and pics of different rides she loves and charactors inviting her to lunch etc. She'll be given it two days after her birthday in the airport. She thinks we'll be going to the zoo but we'll talk her into going to watch the planes take off.. at 4am... with suitcases! Still have to iron out the details!

Have you has any ideas? Its all so exciting.

We really like the SF. I had a kinda bad experience at the Cheyenne so SF totally tops it for me. Same comfy beds and same lenght on the bus transfering to the parks and village

Will follow any replies with interest - these are favourites of all my family and we have in the past had to tear them in half and share them out at Salon Mickey when they only have a couple!!!

Great news and the perfect way to spend unexpected cash:goodvibes. can't help on the eating I'm afraid. We are a family of 5 and often spend nearly E40 just on a counter service meal.

Carrie Cat that is sooo mean! yes they are the ones! Honestly the nicest pastry Iv ever had!!!

Iv no ideas just yet although my DD has said next time we go she wants us to do the whole waking her up thing saying 'Were going to Disneyland' like the advert (that advert has a lot to answer to)...

If I was in my current home I would paint the wall lol however when we relocate we'll be renting at first and Im sure the landlord wouldnt be too happy. I like the balloon idea though... A Parcel each outside there rooms on the morning we are leaving and yes your probably right Id need the OH in on it before hand to help plan things! I might make him a grown up 'invite' lol!

I was tempted to do Davy Crockett so we have self catering and can cook cheap but then I priced it up and its about £110 dearer which would contribute to the meals anyway! We'd also have to drive which means OH has to drive and he loves not having to.

Mean me :scared1:

Thought it might help in your search around the shops :rotfl2:

Think I'm going to set up a side business before long exporting DLP food products to the UK

We love those too! Definitely the best pastry in the entire world. Carrie Cat, please set up that business, I know at least 5 other people as well as me who would order from you :rotfl:
