Had a Florida day yesterday

It was DS and DD's school trip and they were gone from half 8 until half 5 so myself, a friend and her DD (13) went to Kildare Outlet Village. Our first stop was Starbucks (the first one I've been to in Ireland) where I had a Lemon poppy seed muffin and a Grande Latté with a shot of hazelnut. It reminded me of Florida so much that I bought a bottle of their hazelnut syrup to put in my coffee at home. The "village" is set out in a Premium Outlet style with an Irish twist. We went in to a shopping frenzy that included some lovely Molton Brown smellies at outlet prices. I had to stop myself laughing out loud when we went into the Nike shop as it was so Florida.

From there we went onto Whitewater Mall which is small but it had an M&S so we have a few days of lovely food treats. All in all a good day with some great Florida memories thrown in.

There is a shopping centre here in Glasgow that always reminds me of the Premium Outlet Malls. Nice to pop into if you need a Florida fix.

Sounds like a great day out! I love going to the outlet mall and having Starbucks frappucino, which reminds me of Florida and also Liverpool airport when we are on the way to Disneyland Paris! If you throw in a meal at an "American" restaurant then you can have a real "Florida" day, especially if the sun is shining!
