Just a real quickie as don't have much on-line time, but wanted to let you all know that we had an absolutely amazing time at DL - yes it was busy, but it was great. DS loved Buzz Lightyears Astro Blasters - so much we rode it 4 times in one day! Also got him on Star Tours, Soarin, Pirates, Astro Orbitors, Nemo ...and a bunch of the fantasyland rides and some others.....:banana:

Goofys kitchen was amazing, wish I'd been Hungrier, and we had good luck with characters I think, saw Pluto, Goofy obviously (about 3 times) Chip, Dale, Baloo, Belle and Alice - DS rather liked Alice who was very very very good in her role. Baloo was hilarious, and even lifted me up at one stage. A nice family nearby took photos of DS and I with the characters which was so nice, in fact thats the one thing I noticed most - how nice and friendly everyone was. ;)

DS did some pin trading, which he liked, he was tying to collect Pirate pins, but got a few and then got a hidden mickey pin which is now his prized possession, along with a Mickey light saber, a light saber key chain, a pirate sword and a pirate T-shirt - I know I went a little mad! :laughing:

Was a really fun trip, and def worth while, was great having read the advice from these boards - although I must admit to ignoring most of it and just going with the flow. Did try and make use of FP where we could though! and took a rest, and got a good spot for parades and fireworks well in advance....but didn't even get on Peter Pan!

We (I) had a blast and when we get back to NZ I'll try and do a better TR.

Thanks again for all your help and advice :flower3:

Yes, when you get done with your holiday travels, you must come back on and do a real Trip Report! I have tons of pictures to get developed - as well as open my PhotoPass account and deal with that - so I want to try to do my TR with the pictures at the same time. Last time, I did the report first and inserted the pictures later! I will just add it on to my existing TR.

Anyway, I am so glad you had a great time and that you loved Goofy's - I knew you would! Even though you were not very hungry, would you agree that the food quality and the selection of food is excellent?

You mentioned going on Buzz Lightyear 4 times. We also rode it four times this trip and only ONE of the times were we able to access our on-ride picture to e-mail to ourselves at the end. They were having a lot of technical difficulties, and so 3 out of the 4 times our pictures were lost forever! Were you and your son able to see your photos?

I hope you also rode Toy Story Mania - I actually like that one better than Buzz, but I love them both!!! And did you see the Dream Squad anywhere?

I can't wait to hear about the whole adventure, and I am anxious to know if you sat in the GCH lobby and looked in the DTD shops on your last day as you expected to do, and if you ate lots of Mickey-shaped food! We got a lot done on our trip, but it rained yesterday and kind of messed up my plans to do some last-minute things before I left. Otherwise, we had a great time too! And once again, I NEVER saw any LGMH's. None! I did, finally, get a Dream Fast Pass from the Dream Squad, however, but that was about it!

I'm so glad you had so much fun!!!!! Thanks for the mini report! :)

Welcome back home TiggerNZ!

( I know, this message is coming from Ca. but that is o.k. :) he he!)

It is so very nice to read that you and your family had an awesome time!
I hope that your flight went smoothly. And that no ones' booty went numb, from the long flight. ;) he he! Hey, it can happen.
It sounds like you had so much fun at Goofy's kitchen. I thought that I could hear some commotion up here in Northern Ca.
Did you remember to mail me my chocolate caramel apple? he he! ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~ Merry Christmas!~~~~~~~~~~~
Woohoo, the keychain saber! And the Mickey saber; do you mean the multi-color ones they sell near the parade light-up toys, or the blue one at Star Traders that lights up, has sound, and has Mickey accents on the handle?
Thing about learning is that you never *really* dump it. Even if you leave your plans behind, they are still in your head, and your head won't suddenly bring you the longest line at the worst part of the day accidentally. It will still keep things going fairly smoothly. Can't unlearn learning. :) Pretty much all of my trips have involved dumping the plans, but my brain still steers us pretty well.:goodvibes
