A few years ago we drove to Disney and stayed at AKL on points. At the end of our stay we start to load the car up . My son at this point was not feeling well he became very ..very Ill...
I was 10 mins out of the akl driveway and had to go back.
I went back to Akl pulled into the security hut took him what was going on before i could park the car near the front door two managers were there and a Emt responce was on the way within mins there were there.
We had to go to the Hospital that is in Celibration(spelling) While we were there the Hotel Manager called to talk with us I explaned that i have no more points and were on our way home he arranged for a room /with food vouchers(no ddp at that time) and passes for my daughter and wife while my son was in the hospital till we were able to Go home safely..
MY point is that It has been my person experince that Disney does help in the time of need.
Now with that said I have also been at lecellar eating supper when a Man started to cough we was choking on his steak the wait staff did not know what to do. Being that I am retired public safety I jumped up did the hiemlic on him cleared his airway. I sat back down after i knew he was ok sipped my beer and finished my steak.
This was My 10th wedding celibration the wait staff and manaer DID not bat a eye too this. They did take my name and hotel I think in case i hurt the man lol But The man who was chocking did pay for my meal ..
When I got back to the hotel that night A dvc manager had brought a bottle of Champane to the room and saying thank you
You experince is not good public relations at all .
I would write a letter to DVC telling about the what where when and be very detailed and to the point ..
