We have an 800a ADR for H&V on a non-EMH day.
Because my son only has interest in TSMM and no other rides, we decided to use our FP+ for another park in the afternoon.

I'm hoping we will finish breakfast around 850. Can we head there and get in line or will we have to exit the park and wait in line to re-enter? Would you anticipate the SB line to be longer than 20 minutes, since many will use FP+ as a guarantee to ride?

What time does DHS open that day? Within 15 minutes of opening, the wait is usually huge.

If possible, get there by rope drop and do TSM first then breakfast.

Otherwise, plan a FP+ for after breakfast and then use the rest of your FP+ for that day at DHS.

No, you would not leave the park and reenter. You have to go in and do the bag check/ticket scan already. You're in.

I'd say if regular open is at 9:00, eat FAST!

I've done TSM dozens of times, and yes it's fun but not worth waiting so long for!

I'm not sure about breakfast but lunch at H&V is LONG. If you want to see all the characters plan on at least an hour if not more. Since TSM is the only 'ride' in HS without a height limit the wait is always long, we had a FP for it so we didn't go there first thing in the AM (we did RnR at rope drop and then ToT right after, didn't wait more than 20 minutes for either). If it's one of the only ones you'll ride though I imagine that while a long wait might be irritating it wouldn't be the end of the world.
