I want to apologize to everyone who posted about how bad the food is at H&V. I was one of those people who had the F! package and figured "it can't be that bad, it's a buffet".
If you have an ADR for this restaurant - GET OUT NOW! Seriously!
This was the worst place I have ever eaten, not just in Disney. They should be ashamed. We even complained about the lack of food on the buffet, as well as the temperature of the food. It was barley luke warm. After we complained, we saw a cook out with the thermometer placing it in a few of the dishes and then he actually removed two dishes :scared1:
I am not a pickey person, but the buffet was not replenished, cold and very small. If it wasn't for the kids mac and cheese I would have starved. We paid just over $30 each, (DH and I) and we barley ate anything.

Sorry to hear it hasn't improved any since we ate there years ago :(

It's a restaurant at Hollywood Studios. They all stink. Hollywood and Vine is the stinkiest though.

When I made our ADR's for Aug I included this one but after reading a LOT of bad experiences with it I'm going to change to a nearby hotel ADR. Sorry you had such a bad time and thank you for the warning.

Bummer! Hate to hear you had such a bad experience. I was considering other options for our DHS day; I'll be sure to steer clear of this spot!

We are not picky people either and we won't be back to H&V until I hear they've changed things. We ate at Mama Melrose last time we were at DHS and had a really nice meal in a very warm, relaxing setting.

Brown Derby is pretty good, and Sci Fi is better than people give it credit for. Thanks for the warning on H&V. I am hoping their breakfast isn't as bad - we have a ressie there in July mostly just for the characters.

Sorry to hear that. We ate there in Dec. and thought it was pretty good. Good enough we would do it again.

We have eaten breakfast there 2x. Really just for the characters but I thought it was just fine. Nothing great but certainly good enough.

And we are going back for breakfast again.

Sorry you had the same awful experience that we did...both times we went (yes, we made the mistake of giving it a second try). Unfortunately, the Studios is lacking in good food. We either go with lunch at Sci Fi or dinner at Mama Melrose (we won't go back to Brown Derby either).

Breakfast is FINE. It's not fantastic, but my DH actually really liked it and the character interaction was really special. I've never tried dinner, but I can see how it would be hard with the fantasmic package and deciding where to go.

Why does the studios have such bad food? This August we're just going to Pizza Planet :rolleyes1.

Last year was the first time I even ate CS at DHS. In the previous two trips we just snacked on popcorn until our TS. My niece is lactose intollerant and we didn't bother aranging to have a dairy free pizza made.

We ate at H&V in 2008 with the Fantasmic DP. I had trouble finding food to eat also. Thank goodness my niece (lactose) was able to get other items not on the buffet. Can't remember what (fries, corn ?) but I ate some. I won't even eat Mac & Cheese at Disney.

Last year I took my other niece so we ate at Pizza Planet and another place (1/2 chicken meal). Was okay, nothing special. Was annoyed that the one place wouldn't change out the sides for some grapes or apple slices.

Oh no. These kinds of reviews regarding H&V make me very nervous. We have ADRs for the F! dinner at H&V in June. I am thinking it might be difficult to change to another HS F! dinner package at this time. We probably will stick with our ADRs and hope for the best.

We are in the same boat and was going to give another try but have changed plans accordingly

One of the Disney TS meals I crossed of my list some 10 years ago. So sorry you had such a bad experience. :sad2: As long as they are filling this restaurant there will be no changes. People need to complain, complain, complain to Disney, until then nothing will change.

DHS has a reputation for having the worst TS and CS meals. It's been that way for as long as I can remember.

For some 10 years we would not return to SciFi. A few years ago on a hot afternoon we needed to cool down and stopped at SciFi for lunch. I wasn't expection much but we enjoyed our lunch and return in September. There were 10 of us in September and everyone enjoyed lunch. We do not do a dining plan pay out of pocket, but no matter how you look at it you are still paying for a meal that they are charging top dollar for and getting a meal that is sub-par.

I agree DHS food isn't as good as the other places. I like Sci Fi and 50's prime time... well I like 50's prime time and my DH really likes Sci Fi and the burgers there are good so I can deal.

We normally eat one meal there a trip only. If we are there more we will hop over to Epcot for a better meal at dinner time.

I am in the minority as I like Hollywood & Vine. Eaten there on numerous occasions and booked 4 adr's for this trip. Though my tastes aren't as refined as most on here as I couldn't eat in fancy places such as le cellier.

Ugh! Sorry for the bad experience-we didn't have a good experience either when tried this in the past-2X. When at DHS we tend to go to Prime Time and if we have the $$ Brown Derby. Honestly, Pizza Planet is our boys' favorite so we will go there and have a little salad and a small pizza-everyone's happy!

We have never had a horrible experience there either. We generally find that it's just simple buffet foods. We can always find something to eat there and our kids love the characters. I don't think it's the best meal at Disney, but I have never found it really bad.

H & V is one of only 2 WDW restaurants we will NEVER return to.
We experienced what the OP did.
The hot food was not hot, the cold food was not cold. We were surrounded by dirty, unbussed tables. Our waitress was Rude - the only time we have experienced that in WDW. and the Ladies Room was filthy.
Never Again.
