H-m-m-m-m. E-mails from DVC?

Last night, I received an e-mail from DVC advertising a "Last Chance to Own at Disney's Vero Beach Resort." I thought this was sort of strange, considering the following statement on the member website regarding their delay in sending out the Member Clubhouse.

New Federal guidelines that went into effect on January 1, 2004, are requiring us to take additional steps prior to sending email communications to our Members and Guests. We are working very hard to deliver Member Clubhouse to you in the near future. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Could this mean our Member Clubhouse is coming soon? Or is it just that advertisements come through no matter what? Just curious.

LOL! Good to know the "important" stuff can still get through. Seems like DVC goes in fits and starts. For awhile they were doing a terrific job of posting the VM prior to mailing it. Now, it's weeks after it arrives in the mailbox that it appears on the web site. Then the "Clubhouse" was coming regularly. Now, they have an excuse for that. Someone else suggested that they could at least post the Clubhouse if they feel they can't e-mail it.

What cracks me up, Pam, is the rationale they come up with for doing some of the things they do -- not just DVC, but Disney, in general. They sure keep their PR folks busy. Spin. Spin. Spin.
