My girfreind told me she will be at WDW for the nationals.
She will be there the same time as I.
I made my room ressies 8 months ago and my ADR's were made at 180 days.

She calls me today and asks me to help her get a room and air.
CERTAINLY, these sports orgnizations books out rooms and air?????

A lot of them have contracted special room rates, but it could be that all those rooms have been booked and she is looking for an alternative. I've never heard of any of the events having contracted air travel blocks - anyone I've ever known of that went to one of those events usually either booked airfare on their own, or their individual organization would book their group together. So it's possible that she may be on her own to book both airfare and a hotel room.

I would just point her in the direction of some websites with good rates on air fare and to the special offers section of Disney's website, and let her make her own arrangements. She may not get rates as good as you did, since you booked long ago, but she should be able to get something reasonable.

She knew MONTHS ago she was going. I hope she can get something ON SITE, at least.

We are going for the AAU Volleyball Nationals in June. We booked in March. The AAU (and I assume most other organizations) have blocks of rooms for teams/individuals. I think they tend to have rooms at the All-Star Resorts, Pop Century and one moderate. Have your friend check with her daughter's coach for details for their team. If it's an AAU sanctioned event, they also have special ticket pricing. If she doesn't have any luck there, maybe she can get lucky with one of the specials they are running now. For airfare, have her check Southwest, DirectAir and Allegiant for reasonably good airfares. Good luck!
