I posted this on the Community Board, but wanted to do it here too.
I got an email from US Bank (Gymboree Visa's bank) regarding someone trying to get into my account from a foreign IP. It said to click on the link below and follow the instructions to change my password.
Well I clicked on the link (I know STUPID) and put in my username and password, then it took my to a screen that wanted to to put in my account number, SSN, mother's maiden name and other information. I closed out of that and called US Bank from the number off of my credit card.
They immediately put my through to their fraud department who verified it was a fraud email and closed my account. The woman told me many people have put their information in and had they accounts maxed out.
I am so glad I did not.
Just wanted everyone to know in case you have one.
