Gymboree Bows???

I went to Gymboree yesterday to use my Gymbucks. Of course, I had to purchase the hair bows to match. It would be great if I could make bows like these for all of my DD's outfits. Does anyone have any tips or directions on how to make these pretty bows. They ones that I purchased yesterday were attached to a plastic barrette and were full of curly ribbon. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

are they like korker bows? like these?

Someone had once posted on the Dis how to make them, it was a long drawn out process! But, the hardest part I think was curling the ribbons. I've found you can buy on ebay whole auctions of multiple colored already curled ribbons then gather them onto barettes yourself.

If you have the time and patience, it's really not that hard, I make loads of them for my 2 dd's and they come out really cute!!! To make basic korkers you have to use 3/8 inch grosgrain ribbon and wrap it tightly around wooden dowels, put them in the oven 250 degrees for 15 minutes or so, take them out, let them cool, then cut them and assemble them for bows. If you need more detailed direction, let me know.
I make them in all different colors and patterns to match dd's clothes and the different holidays.

I make bows for my DD's in every color to match every outfit they own. I made a lot that have disney characters on them. I buy all of my ribbon at hobby lobby. I can't really give instructions on how to make them as I need to have them right in front of me and think about it before I can even make them. LOL A friend of mine showed me how to do it, and I am soooo glad she did because I can not tell you how much money I had spent on bows before I learned to make them!!

I would check walmart first and if they don't have what you like there then go to Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Lots of different colors and patterns to choose from. Also you can usually get printable coupons online for Hobby Lobby and maybe Michaels (We don't have one close so I don't try for this one). I buy everything at hobby Lobby just because when I buy ribbon I buy a bunch and I like to get it all in one place!!!

I also check walmart too - I went this morning and got a cute combination of red & white stripes, red & white polka dots, red & white hearts, and plain white to make dd's valentines day bows. If you really want a great selection at a pretty good price, there is a website that you can go to and buy from there, I've bought from them and they're good, lots of selection and good price... I have made them MANY times and they are really easy .... plus so much cheaper!! I would sometimes get a big matching button and glue in the middle of the korkers.

Here is a link to make the korker bows. The only thing I did different was after I out the ribbon on the dowel I would get it wet before baking.
