Anyone else go crazy over Gymboree, or is it just me??

Me to I bought DD already 12 outfits for the summer 3 pairs of sandles and 3 bathing suits. I have also bought a few items from Childrensplace there quailty isn't as good but the are a lot cheaper. Even with the sales at gymboree 100.00 only seems to buy 2 to 3 outfits. 100.00 at childrensplace gets me around 5 full priced outfits with a 15% off coupon. And you couldn't beat the 4.99 sale they just had. I think my daughter has around 25 outfits for the spring summer season. She is spoiled with clothes. I can't seem to help myself. I'm so addicted to Gymboree we leave for Disney in 2 days and I won't go to the online store at all if they come out with a new line that I like I'm in trouble. I tend to buy a lot from a line if I like it . The last one to come out with the Island getaway I bought five outfits. Candy Apple I limited myself 2 outfits. I never pay full price always have a coupon for 25 off . This is the reason I work full time to support this habit and Disney.

I like Gymboree, but I only buy it if it's a great sale combined with Gymbucks. I love, love, love Children's Place, though. Their clothes are so cheap after sales/coupons/extra discount from CP credit card that they're really disposable after DD stains/outgrows them. I just discovered that we have a CP outlet like 45 minutes away. I went last weekend and bought DD 6 winter outfits, a pair of pj's and several summer shirts for $40 total. Can't beat that!!!!!

OMG!!!! You have no idea how many of us are out there! :lmao:

I buy most of mine off Ebay, though, that really saves some $$$. I think I bought DD 18 Summer outfits, by Gymboree! :scared:

I like Gymbo, but the clothes are so expensive I only shop the clearance racks. My girls only have one outfit each that was full price, and I only bought that because I had a coupon. :)

 Me, me, me!
I am addicted to buying Gymbo clothes for my DD! I bought so many outfits to put away for Disney :goodvibes

My youngest DD is in Gymbo size 12s so good thing DS is on his way so I can continue to feed my Gymbo addiction! My oldest is 13 and she got her first Gymboree outfit when she turned 1 - dozen years of Gymbo shopping and still going strong in our house. :rotfl:

Do a search on Yahoo Groups for Gymboree - there are thousands of us Gymbo addicts out there. The groups are great for buying, selling and trading Gymboree! :thumbsup2

Me too! We have a 9 yr old dd and an 18 mth old. I have a couple of friends and a sister who have girls, and we pass around outgrown clothes. I buy about 1/2 on Ebay and 1/2 at the store or online. I discovered the Gymbo outlet in Hilton Head when we were on vacay recently. Since I buy stuff sometimes a year ahead, it was perfect, cause last year I bought a ton of Prep Club for the baby. Then at the outlet, I was able to find stuff to match Prep Club for both the baby and big sister. Our older daughter is not too cool to match her little sister occasionally!:goodvibes

If you tend to shop sales but put away clothes for next year, the outlet is such a blessing. Obviously last year, I didn't know baby Zoe was going to be a different size top and bottom this year. She wears 12-18m in bottoms, but 18-24 in tops, so that's what I meant when I said I could fill in at the outlet. They had plenty of 12-18 bottoms in Prep Club. I love Ebay for the same reason. I can pick up the odds and ends from a line.

Gymboree is definitely on my list! I like being able to buy clothes for my 8 and 9 year old daughters that don't look like little streetwalkers! I also found (thanks to these boards) a great on-line store cwd kids. My kids have a whole closet of gymboree, cwd kids, polo and gap clothes that they know they can't wear until Disney!

I have been a Gymboree addict for 11 years. I have 2 DD's so the quality is important as I pass everything down. I don't put them in the dryer and hang up all their clothes so they still look perfect even as 2nd DD outgrows them.

I do have a recent complaint. Over the last 3-5 years I have noticed the clothes getting more and more revealing. If the girls cannot wear it to school, I also feel they are not appropriate for them to wear. I am talking spaghetti straps, one shoulder shirts, etc. I also not real happy w/ sleeveless shirts. If you look at the current lines, there are half the shirts they could not wear to school. I realize I am conservative w/ their dress but I prefer to err on that side. This is not exclusive to Gymboree. There are several places you have to look pretty hard to find "appropriate" clothes. I am just disappointed Gymboree decided to give in to this.

I love Gymboree but I don't buy as much there anymore. It seems that everyone I know shops there and buys much of the same stuff. When our girls are together there is always at least 2 girls dressed alike. I only buy Gymboree anymore if it something I truly love and limit myself to a couple of things.

Now I usually shop smaller boutiques, in person and online, to find things that are unique. I also like to shop Ebay.

Hello, I am Lisa and I am a Gymboree addict.

I have a DS and I'm terrible. Thank goodness I don't have a girl. :rotfl:

I also shop Gymboree for 6 yo DD and 2 1/2 yo DS. They both love their Gymboree clothes and pick them out time and time again as their favorites to wear. I like their online store too as I need to order jeans in plus for one and slim for the other! I also do CP too especially online.

I love Gymboree, but it has almost come to the end. DD 10 has not worn Gymbo for at least 2-3 years (she is too cool dontcha know:rolleyes: ) and my 7 y/o is approaching the end.:sad2: :sad2: I never really bought my son too much from Gymboree. I never cared too much for the boys lines. But OMG, some of the vintage lines, I love. My favorite is the Spring Showers Line and the Flower Power.

I *love* Gymboree. Esp since I have had my DD.With my boys I used to shop mostly Gap & Old Navy. Now I buy Gymbo for all 3 so I can get more Gymbucks & the resale value on their stuff is A+ if you keep it clean.

I work per diem at Children's Place and rarely buy their clothes, even with my discount! I find their stuff falls apart very quickly, is cheaply made, and isn't as cute, IMHO. It is good for some quick play clothes though. I just would rather have something last thru the season and hopefully sell it on ebay for 50% of what I paid (at least) like my Gymbo stuff. And with my boys, I can pass my older son's stuff down to my younger son and know it will still have a lot of wear in it.

Another addict here. If you play the sales right I find items are only $1 or 2 more than Wal Mart. The quality is amazing. I have several tops that have been stained, treated and washed at least a dozen times and still look almost brand new.

Love Gymbo and Janie and Jack! Last year when we went to Disney I bought all new clothes for my girls to wear. My DH was happy it was only a 4 day trip. I got the summer Safari outfits for AK, CP Red dot pieces for MK and we just had a blast! This year we are going for a week and my DH is sweating the shopping out:lmao:
