I can't recall at the gym what type of entertainment system they had while one is on the treadmill. Is there an independent monitor for each treadmill that provides access to TV and/or music or is there just music playing in the gym and if you want your own music you need to bring a portable CD player.

Thanks for any replies.

There's a bank of TVs tuned to different channels as well as DVD players available for use. Also music in the gym.

I didn't notice the DVD players, but the TVs, maybe one for each bike/treadmill/cross trainer (whatever you might be on) had a place/cable for you to plug in your headphones so you could listen to the TV. You can also change the channel/volume.

I liked the music they had, but I also had my MP3 player.

Thanks for the replies. For better or worse I get to the gym everyday and spend sometime on the treadmill; however, without some stimulus like TV or music I think I may be less motivated.

Sorry, they were CD players, not DVD. Guess I'm technologically challenged--all those little disks look alike!

Like the others stated there were monitors for approximately 6-8 of the treadmills. However, I was on one of the machines that didn't have a monitor, so I "read" the monitors and/or looked out the windows that were open to the front of the ship.

I saw lots of regulars in the workout room each morning. It was a pretty busy place at 6:30 a.m.

So do you suggest bringing your own CD player to hook up?

I've never used a CD player, but about half of the people working out were using them.
