Like the title of my TR, no they couldn't stop us. We had planned this trip for months and we were going. This is my first official TR and it will have quite a few twists and turns along the way. Unbelievable in fact.
But if you want to know a little more of the planning process please look at my PTR!!!

But first let me introduce my cast. In case you don't know us.
DDad(47): The person who just goes along with his families WDW addiction. and really didn't want to go on the trip.
DMom(46): THE Disney addict. I'm beginning to suspect its worse than I thought!! Couldn't wait to go on the trip.
DSis(20): The proffesional planner. She planned the whole trip, where we were going to eat, etc. Was very excited as well.
Me(19): I was very excited. But it was the first time I had to pay for my part. Wasn't excited about that!!!
DSis(15): Loves all things WDW. And eventually wants to work in the World.
DBro(6): A little bundle of constant energy. Really. He couldn't wait to get on the plane and get to WDW.
So, that's all of us. We were very excited about going to WDW but we never expected the problems we had. Oh, the problems. It all started with a little Tropical Depression called Gustav. I know it didn't have a name when it was a Tropical Depression but you see where I'm getting at. See, we live in South Louisiana. About 30 miles southwest of Baton Rouge. And hurricanes are no uncommon thing for us. But when they interupt our family vacation at the World with free dining. Well, that doesn't sit well with me.
I had just started a new job. (I'm learning to be a hairstylist) And my sisters and I had worked really hard on Aug. 28th a Thursday to prepare for our garage sale on Friday. Well, I was the only one who woke up to work the garage sale. Yeah, unfair I know. So, it was all going well. We were selling the junk we didn't want anymore.
Here I my DBro with a puppy that was of the customers. So cute!!
And Mom had been watching the storm track with a wary eye. And she had been calling Southwest (The best airline ever!), to see if we would have to fly out early or not. Well, my Dad and I had to deliver this entertainment center for someone who had bought it but couldn't fit it in there car. Mom calls and says that we are leaving that day. That day!!! She tells us that New Orleans decided to close the airport because of the storm. And the last flight out to Orlando was that night. If we didn't go then we would have had to leave out of Jackson, MS. the next day. Well, we were already packed.
Ta Da!!
So we threw our luggage in the van and headed to NO. Well, in our rush guess what we forgot. The shirts I had made with the DISigns on it!!! One of which was my DSis(15) Birthday present.
I almost cried. But that would be worked out later!!
We get to the airport with enough time to check in, give them our luggage and get on the plane. I kid you not. I had been outside sweating all day. So I felt very unpresentable. Which is why there are not pics of me on the plane. Here are some I took:
Whew! We are on the plane after some very stressed out moments!! Here we are relived to have landed!! I'm taking the pic.
We were thinking the whole way there "Where are we going to stay?" Our WDW trip didn't start til the 3rd. And it was the 29th! So Mom called our
travel agent and she got us two more days at Disney with free dining!!! So now our trip starts on the 1st. But we still had to find somewhere to stay til then. We had a car rental at Thrifty so here we are waiting for the bus.
We waited and waited. Thrifty isn't very swifty, that's for sure. The bus finally got there. And we waited and waited to get the car. Turns out we wouldn't fit in the car we had a reservation for. So we got this van. A Dodge Caravan. I can't stand Dodge. I love Chevrolet. So I was trying to be positive. I'm not trying to insult anyone out there, but lets face it. A Chevy is better!

So, we finally drive out at like 12:00a.m. in the morning! Mom had gotten an hotel reservation at Suites at Old Town. If you ever hear that name run. Run for your lives. We had stayed there about six years ago. and it was old but still a nice place. Well, now it isn't. It's a roach infested, drag race hangout. it was really scary. Dad said we couldn't stay there. So we left.
And we start hotel hunting. Well, we had completely forgotten about Labor Day weekend. And all the hotels were booked solid. Well, none of them had two rooms for the six of us. We went round and round and round. It was like 5:00a.m. when we found a place that had one room. And we knew it was wrong, but we got the room without telling them we have six people. We were desparate.
Well, I'm afraid that's were I have to stop. But please stay tuned for more exciting adventures!!!! And lots of pics!!
Thanks for reading!!!
