This is really for anyone, but particularly the ladies. I have a question for you, would you be interested in a device that goes on the barrel end of your gun that 90% eliminates all recoil and muzzle rise and a big portion of the sound? That way you don't have to wear ear plugs, and your wrist isn't broken off by the blast. They have things already similar to this, but I'm working on something new that will go much further than the available products. Thanks for listening. :thumbsup2

Personally, I wouldn't. When DF and I go shooting, part of what I like about it is the kick and the loud bang. :thumbsup2

I do know some ladies, however, who would probably enjoy shooting, but the loudness and kick scares them off.

I would give it a try, I do not think just women would be interested. There are lots of men with hearing concerns who might appreciate it too.

Oh yes most definitely, including myself, I really hate the recoil and having to wear hearing protection.

Not a lady, but has me intrigued. What will this device do to the accuracy & velocity?

Hopefully nothing to the accuracy, the exit port for the bullet will be grooved like it is in the barrel. Now velocity I won't know until testing. Thanks for asking.

Yes. The recoil doesn't bother me as much as the loud noise. I would be interested in giving it a try.

I dont mind either one......have been shooting and hunting for quite a few years with my husband and our children and now our grandchildren.......I like the sound and the "hit" ...but when I am hunting ...I hear nothing or feel nothing.....

I wouldn't.

And also, you have to have a different model for every brand and type of gun if you are going to keep the swirls exactly the same, as they are different for every gun.

I listen to enough gun crap from my DH ( he teaches a gun safety adn CCW class) to know that a luxury like that would screw with something. ANY if those gun add ons change velocity, accuracy, or something.

Me too! I like the loud bang. Relieves the stress, you know?

Actually I've heard all kinds of things on that subject. Some say what you did, but others say that a good attachment can actually increase accuracy because it prevents the expanding gases from surrounding the bullet when leaving the barrel, which can cause it to yaw somewhat, so the attachment allows the bullet to travel unobstructed by the gases. I've heard the same with velocity, but I won't really know until I"m to the point of being able to run tests. You would think any attachment would decrease velocity somewhat, but you never know until its tested.

not one of the ladies, but are we talking about a muzzle brake here or some sort of ported barrel attachment? May not work in all states as barrel attachments particularly in NY and Calif will render a weapon illegal depending on method of attachment.

Yes all states are different on these things. But yes it is designed to be a true brake, (unique and different design) and sound suppressor all in one. It won't totally suppress the sound, (none will) and that is not the primary intention. But when I was working on the brake aspect I began to realize, wow, that is going to be extremely loud, and it evolved into sound suppression as well, which is kind of a necessity. Then I realized I don't believe anyone has a real break/sound suppressor combo, so that is another reason behind my efforts to invent this.
