MY KIDS AND I LOVED IT!!!
I didn't go expecting anything special as it hasn't gotten great reviews here. Last year we had the dining plan and we went to tons of character meals and restaurants including:
Crystal Palace breakfast
Donald's Breakfast
Cinderella's lunch
Garden Grill lunch
Bomas dinner
Hoop De Doo
Sci Fi Diner
and more that I can't remember....
Well with the exception of Crystal Palace this was my favorite sit down!
This trip we repeated the Crystal Palace breakfast before our MK day and we did the Swan character meal.
My son who is a Lion King nut actually rates this as his FAVORITE part of the trip...even better than the rides at MK, IOA or Universal Studios!
I LOVED just about everything on the buffet menu. Especially the deserts. (Tiramisu and some kind of coffee liquor flavored caked...to die for). They were serving American/southern style food and it was delish. I enjoyed the corn bread stuffing and the pasta and meatballs amoung other things. I'm not a "foodie" though so I guess I have simple tastes.
We had the first seating of the evening so the dining hall was only a quarter filled when the first character came out. We didn't have long to wait to see him. Later when the second character came out the dining hall was half full so there was a little more of a wait. I didn't think it was too bad though. I just thought I'd post my favorable review of this place since it hasn't gotten too many in the past.
