Gulf Beaches

A friend of mine wants to go to the beach on the Gulf side for about four days in June. She doesn't want to pay more than $100 a night. Is this possible, and if so, any hotel ideas? She'd prefer the Clearwater Beach, Treasure Island area, or near there. Thanks a bunch.

I just booked a room for $68 at the Buccaneer. You might try that. It is on the beach in Treasure Island. The Bilmar Beach Resort might have something as well.

within a 2 hour ride...there are some great beach front condos for rent by owners (nitely or weekly)... calm waters, lots of fun things to do... or relax and do nothing.. sand is soft as silk...

I've stayed at the Tradewinds Island Grand in St Pete Beach. It is a very large, spread out combination resort and conference center with about 1,000 feet of Gulf Beach. The prices can be very reasonable.
