Guitar Hero

I was thinking about asking for this for Christmas, anyone play it, is it fun? Can it keep you interested for a long time?

My son has had one for about 6 months and plays it on a regular basis. It is really hard! I can barely get through the 1st song on the easiest level LOL. There are quite a few songs (60 maybe?) and you play each one on 5 different levels so if you do well with a song on level 1, you can replay it with more notes on level 2, etc. He is getting Guitar Hero II for Christmas (w/o the guitar controller, since he already has that). HTH

i think it's kind of like dance dance revolution except with guitars.

I'll have to have DD check it out. She plays guitar and drums and has dance dance. I did find a web site for it too.

My DS and his college roommate, both musicians, love it.

My DS 12 has had it since Aug. and really enjoys it, though his DS13 can top him every time The new Guitar 2 has the guitar and both the games in it. Thats around $80. I think it helps if you know some of the songs.
