what all does this come with? dh is wanting to get this for his boys but he wants everything the guitars and drums and mic I think it would cost over $200 and I am not convienced this is worth it for one present - for one thing he hasn;t even considered asking if my kids would like it and I would be the one to buy the presents this yr....help me deside if this is the worth it to buy this thanks Linda

I think it's about $120, and comes with everything. I wish these games came a la cart - I think we're up to 4 microphones!

Oops - nevermind, I was thinking Rock Band! I wonder why everything is separate? I wish they made things interchangable between games (we have guitar hero, but it's a different guitar than rock band).

We bought the whole Wii set for our son as an impulsive, surprise gift (we NEVER do that, so he was stunned) and he LOVES it!! He plays it every day and is thrilled with it. It came with the drum kit, drum sticks, the guitar, the microphone and of course the game.

I know it's pricey (it was around $208 with tax at Circuit City), but it's good quality and lots of fun! :thumbsup2

it comes with the new guitar, drums, and mic. It is $189 IF you can find one. I preordered ours, good thing too cause they seem to be all sold out. There are some on ebay but of course run higher.

Think it will only come with one guitar and you can use 2, I think, not sure about GH, but on rock band you can have a bass and a lead guitar. If you've never played one of these games, most people find them addicting. We have a blast when I have family over.

Be forewarned though....

You will get tired of the drums. They are fun to play, and you can literally play them like drums, you dont have to be real easy on them, but the sound of hitting the pads does travel :) It's not like you can not make noise hitting the drums. I would say it sounds like hitting a plastic butter tub with a wooden spoon :)

So while I LOVE them, you do need to know about the noise.. ;)

Ours is waiting for Santa to pick up at Grandma's house! Preordered on Amazon for $189. It comes with a guitar (you can use 2 if you already have one), the drum kit and a mic.

This version allows you to record your own music and share it through your Mii. My son will love it!

I got this game last weekend for myself :) I love it! Me and my daughter played it all last weekend. If he likes guitar hero he will love it.

I have the World tour for the wii and was wondering, can I get just the game for rock band and use it with my guitar hero guitaar and drums?

Is there a place that you can download world tour songs? I really dont know a LOT of the songs included.....

We registered for it for our wedding, along with Rock Band. :rotfl:

We have friends who have it, plus we have GH80's for our PS2, and GH3 and GHAerosmith for our Wii. We love it, and to us, it's totally worth it. I was always a HUGE Karaoke Revolution fan, so it's awesome to me.

It's expensive, but in our opinion, it's worth it. Depends on your kids.

This is a Christmas gift here...but I bought it last night at Walmart for the XBOX 360 for a little over $200 ( I think $204 after tax). The guy told me if you have Rock Band you CAN use the drums from that and then you only have to buy the game instead of the bundle..but we don't have that so I bought the bundle. I would think its around the same price for every system..but last year when we got Guitar Hero I bought it for wii..then the kids found out all their friends were getting it for XBOX where they can play live against each other, and so I had to return and re-FIND in the Christmas rush. So much for trying to plan early. This year same thing..I bought Rock Band 2 at Costco..only to find out they don't want that, they want GH World Tour!!!! At least it's still early!

We pre-ordered from BB the full GHWT Band Kit. It is important to know that, on the Wii, if you want to play with four people you need four wiimotes! The drum kit and guitars (we plan to use the GH3 guitar too) are wireless which is great. The mic is wired but still needs a wiimote to select the play level for the mic user. It's very hard not to open the box just to 'make sure' that everything is working properly. :goodvibes

Now looking for a sale price on wiimotes

OH thanks for taht we only have two right now, I should have thought of that...
