I know we have threads like this all the time, but I think the last one was in February, so I thought I'd start one up.
My ultimate guilty pleasure, aside from my copious studying of Disney, is Tim Burton films.
I know they're campy, and I know they've been debated to a pulp, but I adore them. I think they're artistic and wonderfully quirky, even if they cannot be considered "masterpieces". I've been brought up on Burton (watching Mars Attacks, James and the Giant Peach, and The Nightmare Before Christmas a thousand times as a kid), and I really do love all of his movies I've seen (sans Planet of the Apes). I'm currently working on buying all of my favorites on Blu-Ray/DVD (Beetlejuice, Nightmare, Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Alice, Sleepy Hollow, Sweeney, Big Fish, Corpse Bride). Tim and Johnny are adorable friends, and Helena is the perfect match, too.
what about you, what are your guilty pleasures?
