Guiding Light!

I hate the Josh as preacher scenario. For heavens sake (so to speak), don't soap writers understand that some of us (well, me, anyway) that must be mature adults in our real life like to watch soaps because we enjoy adults acting like selfish jerks, jumping from relationship to relationship, but always returning to the "true love" no matter how many murders, car wrecks, or blackmailing schemes occur. Pretty clothes, pretty people (most of the time) and some really nice sets are fun, when the bad girls/bad boys collide with the soulmate that is going to make them "proper" for the moment. I just think the minister line is stupid.

Thanks for the spoilers....if Doris wins the race than if I lived there it would be time to get out of Dodge...she is one wacko lady.

Josh and Cassie who:confused3 sure loved the old Cassy she was great and caring....this casy stinks.

Would be fun if they brought back Richard. When he died they never showed him dead...just an empty room. Would be fun if he was put into protection and it is know safe for him to come out and Reva and Cassie do battle over him leaving the preacher behind:lmao:

They need to get back to basics instead of this stupid stuff than maybe I would stop deleating it on my DVR and watch it.

SNEAK PEEK AT NEXT WEEK

October 23rd: Natalia makes a decision about her relationship with Gus.

Edmund prepares to return to Springfield.

Dinah has a secret admirer

Now Edmund coming back might get me to set my DVR to record this show again. That could be juicy!

If the old Cassie was back, I'd be excited. Who knows, maybe he'll have some chemistry with this Cassie-Josh sure doesn't. Dinah could also be a possibility.

I'm kind of holding on until the Edmund story comes about. I am about done w/ GL and I have been watching over 20 years. We need some action. It is sooo boring lately.

/
I just watched yesterday's show. Maureen is supposed to have Downs Syndrome. Again the show is not sticking w/ it's history. It annoys me.

I don't think Maureen had downs. It was someone else on the show that had a child with downs.

Holly and Fletcher's daughter has Down's.

How old is Maureen now? I just read the updates-don't get to see the show much. And what does she look like?

I'm pretty sure it was because Vanessa was so much older when she had her. I'll have to see if I can find out somewhere. Anyone else remember?

Holly and Fletcher are the ones that had a child with Downs. Fletcher left to get the child into a special school.

Makes me start griping again. I'm so glad they brought Matt and Vanessa back, but what about Holly and Fletcher, and even Blake! Why can't they bring back some old characters instead of all these new ones!

yeah - you are so right. I was convinced it was Maureen. It was the first time they ever showed her. She looked to be around 9 or 10

Thanks - my memory is rusty

Thanks-I wondered how much they aged her. They screwed things up so bad with Rick's daughter, I'm never sure how crazy they are going to make the ages anymore!

This can't be good. Guiding Light has hired 8-year-old Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick, the scary little guy from last year's remake of The Omen. He pops up Oct. 24 as Will, the adopted son of Cassie (Nicole Forester). The character was last seen in 2005 living with his birth father, Alonzo, in the principality of San Cristobel. Though Cassie thought this setup was best for Will, it turns out the kid has grown up totally withdrawn and, worse yet, has become best friends with Cassie's psychopathic ex-husband Edmund (David Andrew MacDonald), who also returns to the show this week.

"Will comes to live with Cassie and it's evident there's something really wrong with the boy — especially when you cross him," says GL head writer Dave Kreizman. "He's not evil, he's not the devil's spawn, but he could be dan¬gerous." That's enough for us — we're creeped out already! — Reporting by Michael Logan

Oh, now that sounds like it is going to be interesting! I was sick of Edmund before he left but now enough time has passed that I think I will enjoy him! Will sounds :scared1:

Finally a story I'm interested in. I fast fwd. the whole show today.
