Well let me say that our guide, Rafael Massa, was awesome, and still is.
We originally took the tour in 93 (couldn't buy at that time for financial reasons) with him, then again in 96 I spoke to him on that trip. I just showed up that day unannounced, and he took the time to see me, and go over things again. Unfortunately we still weren't able to buy. In between I had spoken to him a few times on the phone, both me calling, and him calling checking on us. I would point out he was never pushy, and alway's kind. He even took the time to send us materials from time to time, ie..catalog. Then finally last year we were walking around AK, and ran into a kiosk, so we stopped just to get an idea what the cost was up to, and the gentleman there asked if we wanted to visit the resort once again. I was a bit embarassed to do it again Even though secretly, (meaning I never told DW) that my intention all along was to buy this time. I asked if Rafael was still there (hadn't heard from him for about a year), and he was. I thought for sure he would say, "oh no not them again", but to my surprise he greeted us with open arms, and spent another hour and a half with us. After going over numbers and the MB offer he stepped out of the room for a moment, and then I told DW to get her signing hand ready. When Rafael came back we did it.
It had been 9 years we had gone back and forth. The earlier comment on the "Salesman" certainly doesn't fit Rafael. He saw to it we got extra Fast Passes for the remainder of our stay, and we were off. I email back and forth every now and then with him.
Sorry so long, but I get carried away everytime I talk about
DVC.
