Hi there,

I was just chatting to my guide about our add on and during the conversation I asked what sort of percentage of BCV was sold and he replied a staggering 25%, He commented that this was due to the great central location. No one has even spent a night there yet. He went on to mention that if this is to continue the resort could be sold out to new members at the end of the Thanksgiving holiday. This would be a staggering achivement to DVC. Having said that I asked what about life after BCV he said who know's no on site property to sell before 2004, We could see a small resort sold out before it opens.

These were all his own thoughts and not the view of DVC.

Hello Stevie!

My guide said something similar about fast sales on BCV. I'm so glad we are In....Now if they will only build a small DVC area on the grounds of the POLY, I'm REEAALLLY in heaven!

Aloha!

Hi, Stevie! By any chance is your guide Kim Moore? This sounds just like what he recently told me too.

It is amazing how quickly BCV is selling. I wonder if they're now thinking that maybe the incentives were unnecessary, because the place would have sold well anyway based on its own merit. Oh well, I was sure glad they had those nice incentive choices when I decided to add on at BCV. :D

Tuesday our guide told me that she thought that BCV incentive would stop May 1. The price increase to $80 a point is due June 2nd. or 3rd. She said this has been the best incentive yet but I think the free tickets sure beat this. Now......we are from NY and happy we had the chance on site to add on. I hope all NY and CA can lock in incentive and price now. She knew we already bought so telling me tha May 1 would be end of incentive didn't affect me....so it wasn't sales pressure - just a nice conversation. I tried to get info on DI and Eagle Pines but no new news there.

Mai Ku Tiki- Has ther EVER been talk of building a DVC at the Poly??

I would buy in a minute... Whatever the incentive is (or isn't).

I agree with you about the Poly. How about the Grand Floridian? Poly is nice and close to the central transportation center. But to be on the monorail line, that would be great.

Hi Tink & Cap Midnite!

I am only DREAMING about POLY! But wouldn't that be PERFECT? I think I'd pay almost anything for that...it's been my fave since 1972 when I stayed with my folks in a lagoon view for $35+tax(dad gave me the receipt years later).

Hey, Cap midnite...the POLY... IS on the monorail. The station is on the 2nd fl of the Great Ceremonial House. That's why it is perfect...you can WALK to TTC (and Epcot or MK monorail) OR you can ride from GCH depending upon where your room is located.
Next time you are there check it out. it is SUPER! Ok, let's stop talking about the wonderful POLY. We want to be first in line when DVC opens there...

Hey. Tink...Howz about some pixie dust? We'll clap, you spread some magic....hey, it could happen! ;)

I have repeatedly heard that there is no room for any DVC accomodations at the Poly. My personal idea (and I don't know if this would be economically wise or not for Disney) would be to renovate a couple of the existing buildings into DVC.

I would love to see a Poly DVC, but I don't think its likely!

I don't see why they couldn't build DVC units in the current parking lot of the Polynesian. Move the self or valet parking into a little piece of the MK lot across the street - kind of like they did at the GF. Of course, the views wouldn't be that great, but I bet it would sell out FAST.

We originally joined DVC to be able to switch to the Contemporary!!! But, after reviewing the accommodations at OKW and the low points needed, we only switched to the CR once. But we would "love" to have DVC units built on the top one or two floors of the Tower!! Didn't quite like the Garden Wings as much as the Tower, so my vote is for Tower studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms in the CR Tower.

As you have all had your say I would like to suggest
the Hollywood Tower Hotel as a possible resort? The guest could have lovely views over the Epcot/MGM area, but the lifts/elevators would need some maintaince!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel like I missed something here!

What is the "incentive" at BCL and how were they made known to members? Did I miss a letter or something?
