Hi all - have guides been able to provide additional incentives outside of the ones already indicated in the pricing sheet or generally known (developer credit, incentive, welcome home, MB, Disney Visa credit) OR Is your final purchase cost always the same whichever guide you go with?

Also, are DVC guides providing anything else to sweeten the deal (outside of the gold water bottle), e.g. gift card, dining or other Disney credits, lightning lane/Genie+

I'm sure some guides would be more pleasant to work with, may communicate better and just have more reliable information, which will be a plus on the purchase process / experience, but just trying to understand if there's any difference in your bottomline with different guides.

If they/you are aware of all the deals available then the lowest price will be the same. It's set by Disney. It's not like a car lot where you may be able to haggle or talk to a different person to sweet talk them to a better price lol

They all have the same info, but some of them will volunteer it more than others.

For example, if you contact them some are the type of people who will mention "you know, if you threw on another 20 points it would get this extra incentive" and some will not.

Also, there's this thing where if you buy points certain times of the year with later use years, Disney will buy back one year of points from you for $20/point - I think there are guides who mention this and those who don't. There seem to be ones who are more likely to go along with letting you start on a contract right before a price change, knowing you want to lock in current incentives but still be able to cancel if the next are better.

But they all have the same pricing and rules.

When it comes to getting the absolute best deal - that is already set. It’s just a matter of knowing all current incentives, how to qualify for each, and getting as many as possible applied.

We bought direct with 4 stacked incentives - developer credit, welcome home, free points and magic beginnings which brought VGF down to $161pp last year. There were a couple other incentives we did not qualify, like CM, military or on a DCL cruise.

The DVC site doesn’t list all current possible incentives in one place. If you’re looking for the best pricing, you could ask your guide to help figure out how many you qualify for. I’d also check out DVC groups to see the best recent deals people have gotten.

What helped close to deal for me back in June was my guide was able to put a hold on a room for me for an October trip for the food and wine festival.

I was able to get a studio at BWV that wasn’t available to book on the DVC website, as a welcome home trip DVC worked some magic and took a cash room for me to use points on.

Yep, that’s the intent of the Welcome Home reservation - book an otherwise unavailable reservation within less than 7 months for a new member. Enjoy!
