Did somebody here ever took a guided tour through Disneyland? I´ve heard that there is one, but I don´t know much about it. Last year I was at Disneyland Anaheim and they had a lot of tours to choose from. It was a great and very interesting thing to do. Hope somebody can tell me more about the tours in Disneyland Resort Paris!

Hopefully the others that check in after lunch will be able to help with your query :thumbsup2

At DLP they do one tour in the Disneyland Park and one in the Studios. Ghost has just written a bit about them in his trip report here. Scroll down to Day 2 - and it's the first and second paragraph after the Dumbo picture!!!

That report has confirmed one of my fears of going on the tour - that they won't actually be able to give much information that we don't already know!

I felt the other way actually!! :teeth: If Ghost enjoyed it and felt he had learnt some new stuff, then it must still be worth taking. And I think it would be worth it, just to see the backstage part of Star Tours

I should have carried on reading - I didn't see the bit about Star Tours - that's confirmed it for me - the tour is a definite!

I have to admit, I was surprised you weren't interested by that bit Steve!!!! ;)

As I am spending 3 days (may have some spare time to do the tour). What time do the tours run?

I have done both tours but on the day I did the Disneyland park on we didnt do star tours. :confused3

I'm thinking me and my 11 year old would like this, but would it be suitable for a 6 year old or will he get bored ?

I think he might get bored. If you can leave him with someone it would probably be better.

Does anyone know how much the tours are? When they start? And how you book them?
Sorry about all the questions!

THANKS!!

Here's the details from the shareholders website. Phone the park or call in to City Hall to book.

Guided visits of the Disney parks
Have you already noticed that as one walks up Main Street, U.S.A.® towards the Sleeping Beauty Castle, the gas lamps give way to electric lampposts? Have you ever wondered why some coaches are pulled by horses ? Why The Walt Disney Studios water tower is called "Ears Tower"? To get all the answers to these questions, only one solution: the Guided Tours of Disneyland Resort Paris!

Treat yourself to a visit like no other and discover the Magic of the Disneyland Park or the Walt Disney Studios. Throughout your tour, you will learn all about the history of the park, the inspiration behind its architecture and so much more...

Shareholders Club prices(*):
12 € for the Disneyland Park 2 hours visit (instead of 15 €)
8 € for the Walt Disney Studios 1 hour visit (instead of 10 €)
free of charge for children under 12*

I loved it... The Star Tours alone is worth it...

Let the CM do the talking, even if you might the lion share of it there will always be that little thing you never thought about, overlooked, or is new... You also get to see the Cityhall little rooms with some of the extra pictures.

I would not do it with my son (6 years old) Although I am sure he would love to see the Star Tours inside and how it works, the two hour "walk and talk" would bore him (and I want him to have fun when in DLRP)

Even a 12 year old I would ask if they really are interested (teens might like to do the rides more then go on a walk, unless a Disney addict)

Other then that I would say go and do this. Even if you think you know all, there always one, two or even more little surprises...

I even think I would do this again some day. (I hope with the same luck as last time where I got the solo tour)

Isn´t it a little bit strange to be the only guest at the tour and walk around with the guide all alone? I think I would feel more comfortable if there is a bigger group of people!

I would LOVE to be on the tour with just the guide (especially if he's hot and sexy, but that's a whole other thing, haha!)

No, seriously, I think you can ask more details when you're alone with a guide, and they might even answer questions they aren't supposed to answer...

Maybe you´re right! I think I´m going to take one of the tours during our next stay.
